Nobody listens anymore. No wonder Paul Allen has been trying to unload the station for a couple of years.

Xm got rid of Sporting News.

out the door since charging for their Archives, however I wonder if you better not listening to people stating the obvious. Like betting in-play, the minute your listening to an opinion your sunk, better not knowing whats going on then you can play the Odds. :drink:

The David Stein Show is on XM Sports Nation (143?). Always liked SNR but they took it off in Chicago. The Tim Brando show was great.

no one is paying for it... well I guess you can say the sporting news is paying for it.

it was part of the agreement they reached with the feds. They had to pay X amount of money and run X amount of ads, or else they would have been charged with aiding and abetting.

They actually asked for the agreement. They knew the Feds had looked into them. It probably wasn't going to go anywhere.

But they were either in the process of selling the company or had interest in selling the company and neededto be able to market it without any potential legal issues don the road. So they went to the DOJ and said, how can we cleam this up?

The DOJ happily took cash and the ads. Had to be one of the easiest shakedowns they ever pulled off.

Brown was good, as was Wetzel and Kemp; sadly I don't think any of them are employed by SNR anymore.
