Cleveland +1.00 over CHICAGO (SIA)
The Indians are rolling early and we see no reason to stop playing them here. In 14 starts for the Indians last year, Sowers was 7-4 with a 3.57 ERA. His 2.72 ERA after the All-Star break was the second-lowest ERA in the AL behind only Johan Santana. His 2.33 ERA from July 22 through the end of the season was the second lowest in the majors. He’s also a lefty, which makes him even more valuable. Offensively, although early, this edition of the Indians appears to be a juggernaut of a squad. In two games the Tribe already has 20 runs on 26 hits. The White Sox, too, are solid offensively but Mark Buehrle was not sharp at all in the spring and is penciled in as Chicago’s third starter. Buehrle threw 22 spring innings, allowing 33 hits and 17 earned runs for a 6.95 ERA. Play: Cleveland +1.00 (Risking 2 units).
