WBZ) MANCHESTER, N.H. It's bad enough shoveling your driveway after a storm leaves heavy, wet snow. But how about shoveling out a baseball stadium?

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats had to cancel Thursday night's home opener because of all of the snow, but they have put out the call for fans with shovels to try to get the turf cleared so they can play Friday.

The team is offering free tickets for any Monday-to-Thursday game to anyone who shows up with a shovel Thursday afternoon and helps clear snow for a few hours.

By 3 p.m. Thursday, we're told one fan had showed up.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) _ A man fatally shot himself at a blackjack table inside the Seneca Niagara Casino Thursday.

The man, whose identity was not immediately released, walked onto the gaming floor about 10:30 a.m., pointed a gun at his chest and pulled the trigger, casino spokesman Philip Pantano said.

He died soon after at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Guns are prohibited inside the casino but the facility does not check visitors.

"Entering the casino is not unlike entering a mall or shopping plaza," Pantano said. "This is an open facility."

Last June, a man jumped to his death from the fifth floor of the casino parking ramp, Pantano said.
