102-Year-Old Woman Makes Hole In One

As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. And that's exactly what happened to a 102-year-old golfer in California.

Elsie Mclean finally reached her dream of hitting a hole in one Thursday. Mclean took to the green in Chico, setting a new world record for the oldest woman, or man, to hit a hole in one.

"I said, 'Oh, my Lord. It can't be true. It can't be true.' I was so excited. And the girls were absolutely overcome. And so was I," said Mclean.

Elsie has been golfing since her 20s, and has been featured in Golfers Digest.

She was invited to appear on the Jay Leno show in the past, but declined.

I hear that often as I hit a hole in one just like this woman...Par 3..... 94 yards.....it was my second time ever on the golf course. I have golfed two times since then.....It was a great thrill for sure....

I once made a hole in one, problem was I was on a driving range and hooked one off the range onto one of the golf course holes, it was still a pretty wild thrill even though I was not trying for the hole....I was about 325 yards from the hole it went into.....watched the ball go over the side fence , up the hill and disappeared, the course was pretty empty as it was rainy, we walked up and sure enough my ball was in the cup.

I've never had one either, not even a lip out. But I did score a double eagle on a par 5, still doesn't sound as sexy as a hole in one though. Can't believe that old hag has one more than me.

Saw my friend get a hole in one on a 152 yard hole (15th hole at Griffith Park - Wilson Golf Course in Los Angeles) with a pitching wedge (he hits the crap out of the ball, needless to say). His ball hit about 1/2 inch in front of the hole and burrowed its way into the cup. I got a birdie on the same hole (hit it 3 feet away with an 8 iron). Our other friend parred it and a guy we were playing with got a 4. So... our foursome had a 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the same hole!

I had +50000 for any golfer over 100 to make a hole-in-one but the minimum distance had to be 100 yards.
