With April 9 around the corner, are there any Canadians that still have money in Neteller? Anyone worried that Canadians may suffer the same fate as Americans did?

Log on to your NETeller account and request an EFT to your bank, if certified, otherwise request they sent you a check.

Neteller has cut off Canadians from withdrawing funds via eft. Neteller has cut off Canadians from withdrawing funds via cheque. All of this as of April 9th. The only way to get money now is via a neteller debit card. Does anyone know a) what is the max daily withdrawal limit b) max weekly withdrawal limit c) how widely available are the atm's that accept these cards?

NETeller has not cut off Canadians from withdrawing funds via EFT or cheque. They have only cut off Canadians from moving money to and from gambling sites.

"As of April 9 Canadians will not be able to withdraw funds from Neteller unless they have a Neteller card and access to an ATM machine that will accept it. Neteller will no longer issues checks or do ETF's for Canadian customers, according to a customer service rep EOG spoke to."

Sounds like an uninformed CSR and/or EOG promoting more paranoia. I wonder how many CSRs they had to speak to in order to get that response.

For a reliable source of information check the NETeller website which reports:

"Will my NETELLER account be closed?
No. You will still be able to use your NETELLER account to securely send funds to friends and family with our peer-to-peer service, transfer funds to non-gambling sites and withdraw funds from your NETELLER account by EFT, cheque or at an ATM using the NETELLER Card."

Well, I requested an EFT on Tuesday morning. It was in my bank account yesterday. Tuesday was April 10th. I'm Canadian.

I have no idea what you are asking but suggest that you try reading this entire thread before posing another question.

There are few if any non-gambling sites that take NETeller. Some posters have found one or two but nothing worthwhile has been posted.

A casino would be a gambling site.

Screw all of this Neteller crap

I did a test run and tried to deposit $100 in Pinny today using my CitiBank Mastercard. No problem whatsoever, money in the account instantly and no fee

I will have to scan and send them some verification papers like driver's licence and stuff but no worry

I have been rejected before using RBC Visa and PC Mastercard so this is another good alternative.

I will also try InstaDebit later on, heard it's a great option too.

I have been rejected before using RBC Visa ...

I got a call from fraud prevention a couple of days ago asking if I'd tried to use my card and got the restriction removed. If you want to use their card give them a call.
