No one under par right now and the field that is left on the course backing up. Tiger bogies 17 and 18 to go into Sunday at 3 over and well in the hunt.

Leaders right now set to establish new 54 hole record for futility. The highest score to ever lead at the 54 hole mark was even par in 1966 by Jack Nicklaus and Tommy Jacobs.

Unbelievable really. U.S. Open scores without anything close to Open rough. However, these have to be the fastest greens I've ever seen, 2 putts from outside 30 feet seem rare. Should be a great Sunday.

Stuart Appleby in the clubhouse at two over also at 2 over is youngster Vaughn Taylor who is playing 17 and in some trouble. If Taylor bogies 17 or 18 then Tiger will have backed into the final group tomorrow with Appleby.

Something I would have laughed at an hour ago.

Tayler bogies 17. Unless Taylor birdies 18 (toughest hole on course today) the final group tomorrow will be Stuart Appleby and Tiger Woods. The suits at CBS are doing back flips.

What a day average score for the field around 77.4 shots.

Looks as though 7,400 + yards and lighting fast greens have made a dent on modern technology. Should be a good watch tomorrow.

Tiger in a great spot to win it in final pairing.

Looks like a 70 or 71 by Woods could win the tournament. Appleby won't go away easy though. Lots of big names in the pack at 6 over.

Gonna be a hell of a day tomorrow! Cant wait for the excitement. Tiger "should" win this one. Usually when he is in the lead group he has no problems. Bogeyed 17 and 18 and still in 2nd! I think he is feeling pretty good right now. Phil is probably kicking himself for fridays round and he is right there too! Glad to see vijay drop off some. Go Tiger Slam!

what do you mean by this comment. The masters is really the only golf tourney I look forward to every year. There is nothing like sunday at the masters. Every shot, every putt, means something. You can go from -1 to +3 in a instant. The drama and emotion of this tourney is like none other.

the drama this yr will be if folks can hang on for dear life.

They have fiddled with this course for the last 4 yrs, adding length, new bunkers, fucking ugly second cut, new trees (those at 11 are disgusting--11 is playing over 4.5 this week as it did a yr ago, crazy). Number 4 is a par 3 240!!!!! they brought the tees way up today. This hole is a joke.

The last few years it has rained pre-tournament, HOWEVER, not this year so the true mess they have made has come to full fruition:

+2 is your leader at Augusta. AND if you're looking for any 'magic' (a la Nicklaus in '86 backside at AUgusta on SUnday) FORGET IT, it aint happening. Of course to save face those good folks at Augusta will have the easiest pin placements tomm to give the players a shot.

THIS WAS NOT what Jones and Roberts would want for this course. Johnson and Fazio and the likes should be shot
