CHICAGO (MarketWatch) - Major League Baseball's "MLB Extra Innings" package will remain on cable television, bringing out-of-market games to customers, under a new seven-year deal forged between the league and cable operators, following pressure brought by Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.

The three biggest cable companies Thursday agreed to carry it. You are looking at a free trial for a week, I think.

All major cable companies signed a deal w/ MLB. They will get a share of the MLB Network when it opens up soon. DirecTv's share went down a few percentages after that happened. But Direct is still happy because they're the only satellite provider w/ Extra Innings. Sucks for me because I have DishNetwork.
