two pretty strong plays on sunday afternoon.
toronto/tampa under 8 (-110)
milwaukee brewers (-120)
two gas cans took the mound and embarrassed themselves friday night. but the aces are on the hill to give the bullpens a rest today. halladay and kazmir should both pitch into the 6th inning minimum. the only concern with kazmir is the walks. he is his own worst enemy sometimes. but when avoids putting unnecessary runners on base, hes among the best in the american league.
brewers playing to avoid the sweep. capuano was absolutely unhittable against the cubs last year (3 wins, 0 runs in 26 innings). interestingly enough, wade miller was one of my favorite pitchers to bet on when he was with the astros and holding down the front of the rotation with oswalt a few years ago. but injuries have turned a potentially great career into simply an average one. cubs fared surprisingly well against sheets on saturday. if they can beat sheets/capuano back to back on the road, they will have earned my money.
