Sosa 'launched' one about 260 feet, and Jon Miller once again misread the fly ball, something that's been happening more and more.

Miller ''''that ball is driven'''''' voice all excited as if he's about to say 'home run'

It was a below average fly ball to left :icon_conf

As they go to break Joe Morgan all non chalant adds... "that ball was off the end of the bat Jon"

Miller has become 'blind' at times in these situations, and its become more and more frequent.

I've known Miller since 1983 with the O's he's always done this, but now its worse.....pick up and outfielders motion before you start calling a home run please :ohno:

He just said the Yankees fell behind big early today, the Yanks were up 3-0.

i think he said that in Jest due to the AROD comment that followed. Meaning yanks were ahead early due to AROD. The man who has been carrying the yanks the first few games of the season while people still hate.

You try carrying Joe Morgan around for years, it was bound to effect him at some point.

HAHA , now he's not taking anymore chances tonight, Manny just sent one out to center and Jon was very careful with it.

I have always disliked this team. Miller is a nice guy, I just cant stand the sound of his voice. And Morgan can put anyone to sleep.

And you guys complain about Buck?! Ha. They are WORLDS apart.

Some people like Joe Morgan and some hate him. I like him because he is smart, a student of the game (especially hitting) and he was one of the all time greats. Some disagree. I think if you never saw Morgan play you are bound to not like him as much.

I don't mind Jow Morgan...I usually like all the announcers or try to find the good in them....Morgan is pro NL and is a bit arrogant, I don't mind that either.

Miller has always pronounced the latin player names like that.

I actually like Miller and am not a huge fan of Morgan. Morgan does come off as arrogant quite a bit, reminds me of Theisman behind the mic a little, and I can't stand him.

I think he's still one of the best. Wish the O's had never gotten rid of him.
