Predicted AL Lines:

Baltimore -140, O9.5 -115
Seattle -110, O8.5 -112 (Game 2)
Toronto -225, O9.5 -130
Texas -150, O11 -115
Yankees -135, O10 -125
Oakland -260, 8.5 Pk

Bets:

Cleveland Indians +121
Pitchers: Felix/Carmona

Gotta back the Tribe at home here. Even without Victor Martinez, that offense can put up a ton of runs in a hurry and they hit very well at home. Hernandez looked great in his first start but this offense will get some runs here and there and I'm not sold on Seattle giving him much offense. They have never seen Carmona and haven't hit all that well this year. Cleveland is a barking doggie.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +100
Toronto/KC Over 9.5 -110

Pitchers: Perez/Burnett

I know for a fact that Perez is going to get shelled here. Toronto hits too well at home, especially against lefties, for a non-dominant starter to do well. Look for Toronto to score a ton early and a ton late and a ton in between. Burnett looked like crap in his first start and KC should add in a few runs to help get the over.

Texas/Tampa Bay Over 10.5 -110
Pitchers: McCarthy/Jackson

Both pitchers should get hit very hard. McCarthy wasn't impressive in his first start and he doesn't have the stuff to pitch well in Texas' hitters park. Edwin Jackson still has no control and Texas finally showed the offense that everyone knew they had last time out. These bullpens will give up some runs late as well and Tampa is hitting nicely.

Oakland Athletics -175

Pitchers: Harden/Contreras

Harden looked incredible in his return and when he is healthy, opposing batters can't touch him. The White Sox aren't hitting that well to start off and I expect another gem from Rich. Contreras was horrible in his first start and has never really pitched well in Oakland. Some guys from the Indians were saying he is throwing alot softer and his stuff is gone. He had a poor spring and couldn't get four outs in his start against Cleveland. I think Oakland takes this one easily.

Predicted NL Lines:

NYM -135, U8.5 -125
Pirates -115, U8.5 -115
Cubs -250, 9.5 Pk
LAD -165, U8 -115
Florida -110, 8.5 Pk
Arizona -110, O10 -110
San Diego -120, U7.5 -110

Bets:

Phillies/Mets Under 8.5 +100
Pitchers: Hamels/Maine

Hamels and Maine both looked untouchable in their first starts. Even though these teams have alot of offensive superstars, you have to remember that Shea is a bigtime pitchers' park and it's not that easy to score runs there. Both Hamels and Maine have had success against the other team and I think both have very good outings once again.

Chicago Cubs -154
Pitchers: Lilly/Williams

Houston isn't hitting and they really don't have a lineup that will score many runs. They are strong in the middle but that's about it and Lilly looked very good in his first game, as well as his games against Houston last year. Woody Williams' best days are behind him and the Cubs have alot of options on offense. Woody won't have Petco to boost his stats this year and I'd expect the Cubs to win easily.

Reds/Diamondbacks Over 9 -110
Pitchers: Davis/Arroyo

Both teams can score runs in bunches and Davis and Arroyo have iffy histories against the other club. Either team could put up big numbers here and both teams don't have bullpens so we should see some late runs. Gotta like the over at such a low number.

San Francisco Giants +115
Pitchers: Cain/Young

Both starters have pitched well against the opposition this year once already and last year and I'd expect another duel. The Padres have a slightly better offense but this matchup is pretty close to a tossup so I'll take the +115.

I am officially the worst capper in history. Oakland's normally solid bullpen screwed em late, the Padres beat the Giants despite getting only two hits the entire game, and neither Cincy or Zona, normally good offenses, could score anything and left 23 on base which didn't help. Grr.

I'm still turning it around. Just gonna take a bit. I need some beers. :)
