Well I didn't picture the Phillies starting the season at 1-5.I really think this team will be there at the end of the season fighting for the NL East crown. Hamels will pitch at Shea tomorrow. I think he can shut down that strong Mets lineup.Hamels first start was brilliant 7 IP allowing no runs, the Phillies bullpen lost that game eventually.Last year Hamels faced the Mets allowing no runs in 8 IP and beating Pedro and the Mets 13-0.Great chance for the Phillies to bounce back against Maine.
Will add a play or two tomorrow.

Gotta roll with the Dodgers and Jason Schmidt.Schmidt is 13-5 in his career against the Rockies.The Dodgers went 15-4 last season against the Rockies and 8-2 at Dodger Stadium.The Dodgers are hitting well and have won 4 straight since dropping the first two in Milwaukee.I think this is a big mismatch-Schmidt only pitched 5 innings in his Dodger debut so he's more than ready for this one.

WOW! Philly bullpen is horrible.Second time I have the Phillies in the late inning and they blow it.Both of them Hamels started and deserved the win.

Arizona just beat up on a bad Nationals team as expected sweeping them in 4.Doug Davis is a bit shaky and his control concerns me.Arroyo in the other hand looked good last wednesday.He pitched well and got the loss as he was outpitched by Cubs Lilly.I look for Arroyo to pitch a gem in this one and stop the Dbax current winning streak.

Contreras had the worst pitching performance of his career last week.He was tagged for 8 runs in an inning.I am quite aware that Harden has dominated the Chisox in the past and the team is 11-0 in his last 11 starts.But when you get the ChiSox lineup at +150 or more you gotta take them.I think the A's are abit overrated.Their offense is capable of being shutdown by a pitcher like Contreras who I believe hasn't lost his stuff like many do.
