For those of you that have been following or are interested, I have been reposting the baseball service plays from Bookie Buster’s NBA forum thread. Once the NBA season ends, BB will resume posting these service plays here in the bases forum.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I have been tracking the service plays on a daily bases and below is a link to the Excel spreadsheet with the daily records, season records and winning percentages.
<o:p></o:p>
As it stands now, the “top five” services in bases are as follows:
<o:p></o:p>
Power Play..........4-0.....100%
Wunderdog.........3-0.....100%
ATS Financial......9-3.......75%
Sebastian............10-5......67%
NSA...................6-3.......67%
<o:p></o:p>
The spreadsheet has each service ranked by winning percentage, and is divided into separate groups (based upon the total number of tracked plays) for consistency purposes. You will also notice that daily record portion of the spreadsheet is color coded yellow (for winning days), gray (for losing days) and no color (for breaking even).
<o:p></o:p>
I will re-post BB’s service plays later today after he posts them in the NBA forum.

Atta boy Rookie!! I have not seen a post from BB yet, so these are very much appreciated to get things started. Feel free to contribute any time you desire. Very much appreciated.

I will be posting BB's bases service plays when they appear in the NBA forum. However, I do have to take a road trip for work this afternoon, so unless they are available before mid-afternoon, I may not get a chance to re-post those plays until late afternoon.

Thanks again Rookie!! BOL

I just go home from work.....here's more service plays from BB:

Brandon Lang<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

15 DIME
Cubs - Please Specify Pitchers - Williams vs Lilly
Orioles - Please Specify Pitchers - Durbin vs Cabrera

5 DIME
Brewers - Please Specify Pitchers - Suppan vs Sanchez

Brandon Lang Write-Ups

<o:p></o:p>
CUBS
I went against Lilly in his first start for the Cubs and as I watched him make pitch after pitch in beating the Reds, I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I was with him.Now he gets his 2nd start of the year and if it's anything like his first start, pretty much have nothing to worry about.I mean, 7 innings of 1 run ball on the road and now he makes his debut at Wrigley field and I am backing him.Williams didn't pitch all that bad in taking the loss. He went 5 innings at home allowing 3 earned against the Pirates but on the road, I just feel Lilly is the play. The Cubs took 2 out of 3 over the weekend against the Brewers to get back to 3-3 and bottom line is I just don't see them dropping their home opener.I am on the Cubs today.

ORIOLES
Bedard was good to me on Sunday, I am looking for Cabrera to be the same on Monday. He didn't pitch all that bad in Minnesota allowing 3 runs in 7 innings in the 3-2 loss. Not bad.He is 2-0 in his 4 starts versus the Tigers and he will be confident today as well. The Tigers snapped a 12 straight scoreless inning run with a 3-run homer by Ivan Rodriquez in the top of the 9th to beat the Royals 3-2. They still are not hitting the ball well and that is good news for Cabrera.Chad Durbin will make his first start since Aug 26th of 2004, filling in for Kenny Rogers who is on the DL.The O's win their home opener today.

BREWERS
After taking 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers to open the season, Milwaukee dropped 2 of 3 to the Cubs over the weekend. Now they head to warm south beach to face the Marlins. Now, much the way I am bucking the trend and rolling with the Magic over the Bucks, same situation here with the Brewers.
They have lost 8 in a row to Florida and 23 of the last 31.In Florida, the Marlins are 13-3 versus the Brewers but all this domination ends today.
Jeff Suppan, who signed a four year 42 million dollar contract, the largest in Brewer team history. His Brewer career got off to a rocky start giving up 2 runs in 7 innings of a 5-4 loss, so it really wasn't his fault. You give up 2 earned in 7 innings and you will win more games than you lose.In his 9 career starts versus the Marlins, Suppan is 3-2 with a 3.04 era including 2-0 his last 3 starts with an era of 1.33.Now I am aware of the great year Anibal Sanchez had last year but 2nd time around will be a different story as you saw with his first start of the year versus the Nationals. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in just 5 2/3 innings in a 7-6 loss. All good things must come to an end and that will be the case with the Marlins today.Brewers get a much needed win.

Big Al McMordie

7:05 pm (time change), on ESPN, our selection is on the New York Yankees over the Minnesota Twins. If not for one swing of the bat from the much-maligned, "now we hate him, now we love him" Yankee's third baseman Alex Rodriguez, the Bronx Bombers would be starting the season with a record of 1-4 vs. two of the weakest squads in the AL - Tampa Bay and Baltimore. But A-Rod bailed them out once again, and 2-3 sounds a lot better to them as they head to the frozen north to face the Twins and Sidney Ponson. That's right, the retirement of Brad Radke, the season-ending surgery to Francisco Liriano, and the realization that Matt Garza needed more time in the minors opened up some great opportunities in the Twins' rotation for somebody, and that somebody is Ponson, at least for now. The Yankee hitters know Ponson very well, having tortured him for years when he was in the O's rotation, and then having used him themselves as a spot starter last season when their own rotation was in a bit of a shambles. The fact that this guy can still be part of a major league rotation for any team when his ERA the last two seasons has been well over 6 runs is a testament to him or perhaps, more appropriately, his agent. A winning record for Carl Pavano this year may be questionable at best, but look for him to get his first win in this one and for the Yanks to have their way with the Twins and Ponson in a place (the Metrodome) which has been very friendly to them in recent years.

Take NY. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

Bonus Play: San Francisco Giants vs San Diego Padres
At 10:05 pm our complimentary selection is on the San Francisco Giants and the San Diego Padres 'over' the total. On the surface, this appears to be a great matchup between two up-and-coming pitchers in the Giants young fireballing righthander Matt Cain, and the Padres very tall righty, Chris Young. In fact, these two faced off less than a week ago in San Francisco, and although the final score was only 5-3, neither one of these pitchers had what you would call an efficient outing. Young threw 98 pitches in only 5 2/3 innings and Cain was only slightly better (90 pitches in 6 innings) and surrendered two long*****. And that has been Cain's problem since bursting on the scene a little over a year ago. He throws hard, but has not learned to mix his pitches properly and is very susceptible to the home run as a result. If you include Cain's last 3 starts of 2006, he has an ERA of over 7 runs in his last 4 starts. He was nearly unhittable in the month or so before those last 3 starts, but is a slow starter, having gone 1-3 with an ERA of 5.28 in April of last year, and in fact was quite putrid the entire first half of the season (6-6 with an ERA of 5.12) before getting it together in late July and August. Although more consistent than Cain overall, Young had his problems against these division rival Giants last season, going 0-1 in 2 starts with a 4.26 ERA against them. Take the 'over'. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. Al McMordie has one baseball play on this Monday, and it's on National TV for your viewing pleasure. Don't miss out on the EASY PROFITS. Pick up Big Al's #1 Baseball Winner, grab a beer, and kick back in your La-Z-Boy, and watch your $$$$ roll in today.

Tom Freese MLB 5 Star Side Winner

Milwaukee starter Jeff Suppan pitched very well in his first start as a Brewer allowing 2 runs in 7 innings of work vs. the Dodgers. Suppan has good numbers vs. Florida in his career going 6-3 in 9 team starts with a 3.04 ERA. Florida starter Anibal Sanchez was hit hard in his first start allowing 10 hits and 4 runs in just 5.2 innings of work. Going back to last year the Marlins are 4-11 vs. after scoring 5 or more runs in their last game and they are 3-9 vs. an opponent who scored 5 or more runs in their last game.

10 DIMES -
PADRES (With Cain and Young as listed pitchers)

5 DIMES -
METS (With Maine as listed pitcher)

Take the Mets today in their home opener over the Phillies.
I like New York to bounce back today after dropping their last two games to the Braves. Their starting pitching has been excellent over the first week of the season and I expect it to continue today behind John Maine.
Maine allowed only one hit in seven shutout innings in a win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. For his career Maine is 3-0 with a 1.96 ERA against the Phils.
Philadelphia continues to struggle and I don't see them righting the ship today at Shea. They drew 11 walks yesterday against the Marlins and still lost the game, stranding 14 baserunners in the process.
Look for Maine to toss another gem and for the Mets to grab their fourth straight win in home openers.

Complimentary Play: Take the Mets at home.

Cole Hamels is an absolute stud and showed it in the first game against Atlanta. The lefty has as bright of a future as almost any hurler out there but to get the Mets at Shea at this cheap price is enough for me.
Jon Maine had a very solid season last year including some pressure filled games in the playoffs. The righthander was brilliant in his first start this season completely shutting down the Cardinals. I am not deeming Maine the next Cy Young, by any means, but the kid has improved drastically from his days with the Orioles and is a confident hurler who at Shea should match Hamels out for out.
The Phillies are a quality club led by Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley but they really have not found their stride yet this season. Howard has been fairly awful and Philadelphia is off to a rocky rocky start led by the first series sweep at home by the Braves. This team should win their 85-89 or so games but until they get it going I will gladly take what is the best team in the National League in the Mets with one of the best offenses in the game. Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, Jose Reyes, David Wright and the New Yorkers are a powerful club that was money last season at home.
The Phillies definitely have the potential to win this game behind Hamels and if they were getting a higer price I may even take my chances with them but to get the Mets at home and not have to really lay that much more than just regular juice is perfectly fine with me.

Gator Report for Monday

MLB: (Monday) Play On MLB teams when the money line is +125 to -125 and you have a National League team that averages <=4.1 runs per game facing a team with a bullpen that has an ERA of >=5.00, and a starting pitcher who is working on 5 or 6 days rest.

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Minnesota - Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 48-23 and has made 26.3 units in profits since 2000. Play on all teams when the money line is +125 to -125 that is an excellent speed team averaging 1 or more SB's/game on the season, after allowing 2 runs or less. Here is a second system that has gone 42-22 and has made 26.7 units in profits since 1997. Play on all underdogs with a money line of +100 to +150 team who had a very good bullpen last season with an ERA of 3.33 or better. MINNESOTA is 27-9 (+16.3 Units) against the money line vs. teams averaging 2.75 or less extra base hits per game over the last 3 seasons. Wrong team is favored and until Pavano proves to me that he can be a MLB starter playing against will make a ton of dough this season. The grading is the final result of the AiS. The slight differences in the probabilities of ATS and SU wins are only shown as just 1 example of the many modules involved in the neural net. Differing probabilities do not make one play stronger than another. Remember always that the reason we are making this play is due to the AiS grading. The supplemental info, angles, and systems serve only to reinforce the grading.

Curry Bagwell<o:p></o:p>

Baltimore -125
Orioles RH Cabrera has nasty stuff and matches up well vs. Tigers RH power. Tigers were shut down by two KC RH over the weekend. Not very confident in Tiger RH Durbin handling opening day crowd at Camden Yards.

Philly +120
Phillies held lefty Hamels back a day for this match-up vs. Mets. Even with the addition of Alou, lefties like Hamel will again be tough on the Mets this year. Mets’ RH Maine caught the Cardinals in a celebration state when he shut them out in his first start. This will be a much tougher start for him.

Pittsburgh -110
Pirate RH Snell catches the Cards at a time when their 4th and 5th hitters are not catching up to 94 mph fastballs which is what Snell throws. He has a solid edge over Looper and Capps and Torres are anchoring a solid Pirate bullpen this year.

Houston +155
Cubs have a RH fastball hitting team. They won’t see any of those today vs. Woody Williams. Astro bats have been silent so far this year, but this is a good match-up for them today vs. Lilly.

Colorado +140
Rockies are four innings away from a 6-0 start. Schmidt will not be able to overpower this young aggressive hitting line up and any time Francis goes they have a solid shot.
