I have always had problems sleeping at night. Part of it is I always feel like I need to be doing something, so when I am sleeping all I can think about is all the things I need to do. Sometimes I lay awake in my bed until like 4 in the morning exhausted as hell, but not being able to go to sleep. Then I get frustrated because I can't sleep and it makes it even harder. I was thinking about giving a sleep aid a try like that Lunesta. Do you guys have a hard time sleeping ever?

try a couple of benadryl first.

i wouldnt go on to meds like that unless absolutely necessary.

benadryl is relatively benign and usually works well.

Lunesta and Ambien are two entirely different types of sleep medicines - Ambien is not intended for long term use and I believe Lunesta is - yes, take a Benadryl and have a drink and you should fall asleep.

I've had a lot of problems going to sleep at a decent time lately. There have been a few nights in the past couple of months when I just never went to sleep for no reason. Its like I feel like I'm wasting time if I go to sleep. I think a big part of it is gambling, I'm so caught up in looking at lines and stats, etc that I always have something to do late at night (no, this does not in turn lead to me having a gambling problem). Then it gets so late that if I fall asleep I'm going to sleep until the middle of the day. My schedule is thrown way off and luckily I don't have much to do in the mornings but I need to fix it.

Ambien and Lunesta both have similar chemical makeups..... Zolpidem Tartrate. Both are habit forming and you will develop a dependency upon them over time but they are awesome and they do work. I recommend you take them ONLY when your having one of those 4 AM nights........I personally prefer the Ambien.

I know a company you can order from (They send it to your door Fed Ex and CHEAP) and they have doctors on staff to approve Rx´s and everything. Shoot me an email lostinluck at yahoo if you want more info.

i have the same problem too. my problems comes from having a high stress job and then comming home and having action at night. i have taken sleep meds before, but they made me feel like shit. one thing that worked well was some vicodin or hydrocodon, but i can not tell you how to get that. took it when my knee was messed up.

painkillers ain't the ticket, I ain't a doctor, but oxycodone ( sp ?) and better shit like oxycontin, ain't it... what next ?... heroin ?

Sean1 would be a good guy to opine on this.

I think Melatonin works but has possible side effects (like most drugs)

Correct me if I"m wrong but your body naturally produces melatonin. So if you take a pill it boosts the levels up and helps you sleep.

I take it when I'm jet lagged and I want to adjust back to my normal time zone.

Or if I take a late nap in the day, I'll take one to help me sleep. It gets me really tired but sometimes I'll have crazy dreams. But nothing too serious.

I tried it once...a bottle worth , no real reason though I never had a sleep problem... I was told it was all natural etc...

Then i read of the side effects, lowers sex drive and causes wild dreams..I suppose if the dreams were about wild sex it would all even out...it did seem to make me more drowsy from what I recall.

occasional use is probably OK, but then you need more and more ? Like the kid with the no-doze, then you MIGHT eat them like they were Tic-Tacs ?

I see a problem with pills as a habit, and a tolerance developing, then you need 10 instead of two....
