Well, Jim Thome just picked up some more RBI's

I needed OAK, still in it, but THOME is TOUGH.

One of the best hitters i've seen.

WS lead 3-1 in 8th, thanks to Thome.

What's his rookie card (the main rookie card?)

One of the best hitters you have seen? He isn't the best hitter on the team.

He also isn't even in the top 4 of clutch hitters on the team. He may be the worst late inning hitter on the team. And I AM A DIE HARD SOX FAN.

Thome has been a disappointment in late inning spots... Kind of shitty, but I am glad to see he came through there. But you are really exaggerating now man.

I am glad Thome is on the team because he is a good player, but I am pissed that we replaced Frank Thomas with him. But at least we got one great player for another. But Thome is not the guy I wanted up in that spot, but hey he got it done.

Yes. But, I wish he would have been shitty tonight. But, of course, he has to hit two dingers tonight. Maybe it's the West Coast air he likes.

He's no Tony Gwynn. Or, Ortiz (who jacked two last night)

onward.

He didn't hit two dingers? He hit a ground ball up the middle to get his second RBI...

Thome yes because I think he did it honestly and in this Era that means everything.

I think Thomas is automatically in the HOF, I think Thome may be another good year or two away from not having to worry.

I liked Tony Gwynn = man, that guy could hit when you NEEDED him to.

Any field. Puckett used to be able to come thru when you needed him to.

A 92 Bowman Bgs 9.5 Thome is easily picked up for 30-50$. That is the card to get.

Thanks, Dub.
Thanks, Yanni.

I have cards running out my ears = I'm gonna need to retire and I'll have plenty to do the rest of my life going thru all these cards.

I did card shows in the late 80's - 90's, quit, and put everything in a safe environment. Now, I've got to figure out what is what.

Jim Thome, 1992 RC. Man!, time sure flies by, doesn't it?

Dub, you collect cards? Guess I need to go find a new Beckett IF they still have the older cards listed, I know the market got flooded with tons of new stuff. All my stuff stops at about 1993 and goes backwards.

Thanks for the info, you too, Yanni.

Its all graded condition. In your time of cards. Bonds, Maddux, Any 1979 or ealrlier Bgs 9.5 star or rookie. Do a Bgs 9.5 search in Baseball to get and idea.

thome is not a hall of famer.i like the guy but he's not that good. he has not been the best player on many of the teams on which he has played. Only hit above .300 3 times in his career. no way. 500 home runs doesn't mean as much as it used to.

agreed, 10 years from now 500 wont mean as much as it does today, unless they change the game
