Apparently, Pac-man Jones is not going to get paid next year while he is suspended. Tennessee should make the class gesture and give the money they would have paid to him in salary to Tom Urbanski.
Who is Tom Urbanski you ask? He is the bouncer at Minxx, the club that Pac-man was at in Vegas during the NBA. Urbanski is now paralyzed.

Urbanski should be able to get money from Pacman through a civil suit no?

What did Pac-Man do? I haven't bothered to read the story, so give me the cliff notes. All I heard was that he was looking at pu$$, someone got shot, and he didn't pull the trigger.

It wasnt his fault.

It was IMUS:banger:
:lolBIG: Imus is getting way too much pub. It's ridiculous to hear these girls talk like their life is destroyed, because he called them hoes. WTF? Get over it. Hoes.

*Allgedly, lol-

he brought $81,000 worth of one dollar bills...yes one dollar bills to the club...to make 'it rain'

apparently Adam is known for this...and the strippers should know the rules, that during the 'rain' they arent allowed to grab the money.

stripper grabs the money...Adam lays the smack down on her...bouncer steps in.

story becomes fuzzy...bouncer gets shot and paralyzed by a gunman that Adam entered the club w/ & was sitting with...according to club owner, who reviewed the video tape.

Thats the story i've heard...Adam is a classy guy.

Teaze,
If you actually get a response let me know. I'm sure this will go against the NFL's anti-Vegas policy, but if they actually consider it and go through with it, I will make the Titans the official team of our sports book and will feature their games every single week and post their pennants prominently. I will also make it a point to tell every patron who asks why we are so pro-Titan exactly our reason.
I'd be surprised if they make that gesture, but I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised.

I don't get why the girls don't get the loot when you "make it rain"? Seems kinda stupid, you throw money around at a strip club and then take the money back?

That would never work for me, I'd get booted if that happened I would think.

Here's the cliff note version of the conversation i had late today with the p.r. guy
.

1. Titans feel bad about what has happened
2. Pac-Mans salary will be "absorbed" by the club and redistributed in other player contracts
3. The incident inside & outside and their connection are two separate things that may or may not be the fault of Jones
4. Their are no plans currently to compensate the victim as it would be viewed by some as the team "choosing" sides.
5. They do not like these types of conversations with me or anyone else, especially someone involved with or connected to a media outlet.

just a note on what i was able to read between the lines, the teams phones have been lit up by unhappy fans and ticket holders alike, don't be surprised if Pac-Man never wears the Titan uniform again. they are both apologetic and sympathetic for tom urbanski's plight but feel unable to say or do anything at this time. indications were they were aware of the fundraiser and the fact that he is paralyzed and has both a wife and children, wouldn't shock me if they do something though it will likely be private and without fanfair.

I can understand them holding their cards close to their vest and not wanting to do anything.
However, I can also see the flipside where they make the gesture because they are "better men" and the p.r. and goodwill far exceeds anything else.

The Titans probably aren't one of the more nationally popular teams.

They can
A) Redistribute Pac-Man's salaries to such fine players and citizens like Albert "Stomp" Haynesworth, Travis "Drug Policy" Henry, and Kerry "Cocktail" Collins. Maybe even sign a few free agents like Randy "Weed" Moss or Jamal "Federal Prison" Lewis.

or

B) Hold a press conference, say even though they can't determine guilt or innocence in this case they feel that the most appropriate course of action is to donate Pac-Man's salary to a charity (or to the victim Tom Urbanski). They can also say they will hold their players to higher standards because they realize this is more than a business it is about little children that look up to these players as role models. They then say as long as the Tennessee Titans are around Pac-Man Jones will never suit up for them, ever.

I guess I'm am too much of an optimist to think option B would ever really be considered.

No doubt that Pac-Man's a scum but the one who pulled the trigger should be the one who's sued, not the deepest pockets.
