Well until there is a replacement, I will not have any significant money offshore so it is kind of important and not really much else to talk about. Having not placed a significant bet since the Indy/New England game, I'm out of topics.... I will probably set up shop in Panama once Neteller finishes up their US negotiations if it becomes stable. I got a hospital to set up a bank and ID for me in exchange for some work there. But until then, I can only hope some transfer site takes over.
Although books like having you trapped, I have to think picking up and sending 1000s of WU, wires, checks must be a much bigger pain in the ass than one wire with neteller each week.
There are two reasons I'm not wagering till something similar replaces:
1. My profitability falls greatly by not being able to move money. I would guess I moved money 20-40 times/month to balance out balances. No way to do this by mail waiting 3 weeks for checks or even using Canadian banks for wires.
2. Neteller offered the industry stability. Many books operate on float and Neteller made this a hell of a lot easier to do. I'm not advocating operating on float, but knowing some books do, I'd rather it be easy for them.
I looked into starting a new transfer service just for Canada - talked to both US and Canadian lawyers. The US lawyers said as long as I blocked US IP addresses, required Canadian addresses and banks, I would break no US laws even if in the US. THis is how Playboycasino operates in the UK. Unfortunately, it is ambiguous as to whether or not Canada allows booking (They probably do not according to the Canadian lawyers). Although Canada has never enforced anything, if the US gov put pressure on them, they might and likely have the laws to do it - hence no transfer service for me.
