I dont believe in anti public betting ever being effective in any sport. I personally think its an old wives tale of betting. The main reason for the play is you got Felix at +156. I honestly do not believe Daisuke is that much better. He may be a more polished pitcher because he has been playing pro ball for a longer period of time but he does not have Felix's talent. On any given day Felix is capable of totally dismantling any teams offense. The fact that he came out so well on his home opener leads me to believe he might be reaching his full potential, and thats just scary. If this game is a low scoring affair I also believe Seattle has a superior bullpen. Papelbon cant go 8 and 9 every game and honestly is their only effective reliever. So yah the value is there and I think all the hype on Daisuke's arrival may have really inflated this price. Go Felix. Anyone else notice people are only talking about ichiro vs Daisuke and not Felix vs Daisuke? Despite the fact that this might be one of the best pitching duels of the season. o well go felix
