I know the season is still young, but jeez, has there ever been a slower start by a returning hitting MVP? hes batting .156 halfway into today's game :WTF:

He is not centering anything...

Reaching and hitting alot of balls off the end...

When he starts driving the ball to right and right center...then he is getting into a groove.

If he is still batting under .200 at the end of the month...then I would wonder if something was wrong.

The guy can't hit in cold weather and it's been really cold the first 2 weeks. As soon as the weather gets warmer so will Pujols. The whole Cardinals team is like this and that's the main reason they only have won 1 world series. They all stop hitting when the weather gets cold.

No reason for alarm yet....a good series and Albert will be back on his steady annual pace....way too early to say he's having a down year.

A lot of guys start slow....especially in cold weather.

In 2 months, if he is still doing poorly then that is cause for concern.

every hitter goes through a slump, his is just now.

as far as best hitter goes......start watching the 3rd basemen for the marlins. this kid has great written all over him.

Less than two weeks into a 6 months season and the guy is already getting written off and accused of steroid use...let's revisit this in September when he has 45 HR's, 125 RBI and 100+ runs.
