He could be like a Devin Hester as a special teams returner. Not sure if he's tough enough to be a first string receiver. Maybe.

probably will be. but plenty of track guys have busted out in the league. ginn has a lot of work to do. he reminds me too much of peter warrick, albeit with a little better speed. great college careers that deserve nothing but praise. but the nfl is a different game. ill say this much: (and im not trying to spark some lengthy debate) id take jarrett on my team before ginn. you can have the 4/10s of a second difference in the sprint time. i think jarrett is the safer pick even though ginn will prob go 10 slots higher.

Teams at the top of the draft would be crazy to select Ginn.

Peter Warrick was a much better college WR in my opinion. He could shake anyone.

very much so, Ginn has never really improved, he's just a guy you don't want to allow any open field with the ball....I was really high on him but I wouldn't gamble a real high pick on him...

I don't think he will be a great WR , he could be just a return guy though with those rare skills...

Blinding speed doesn't mean as much in todays game as it did in the 70's ...everone in the NFL now has top notch athleticism .

.. and thats the scary thing. warrick was incredible in college. it just didnt translate to the nfl for whatever reason. warrick was one of the best ive ever seen in terms of stopping-starting and making cuts (in college). his quickness was unreal. ginn has better (hell, arguably olympic-caliber) straight ahead sprint speed. which is why on kick returns, if he busts through the initial coverage ... its over. but they still have to get off the line of scrimmage against nfl defensive backs. they still need to be able to take the pounding of the nfl game. if warrick can bust like he did, ginn certainly can too.

You can have Jarrett. Ohio State has put out much better pros than USC. Mike Williams and RJ Soward looked pretty good at SC too. Jarrett is another character issue problem waiting to happen. Jarrett does not have the explosiveness to produce in the NFL and will only get worse as he gets older. At least Keyshawn was fast at one time.

Warrick was injury after injury in the NFL. A guy like him can't keep blowing out knees...

After seeing the way Devin Hester single-handedly won a couple ballgames for the Bears, I would think Ginn has extra value as a return man over other Wr's Bowe, Meachem, Rice, and Jarrrett. Norm Chow can take Jarrett to Tenn with him to flame out like Lendale White.

There has only been one Devin Hester in the history of the league. What makes you think that there will be another one right away.

AHAHAHAAAAAA...much better pros? Who? Santonio Holmes? David Boston? Michael Jenkins? Terry Glenn? Chris Gamble? Which are the much better pros you were talking about....Shoot, Reggie Bush might have more career yards receiving than any of these guys and he's not even a receiver.

Maybe you meant Running Back...Oh yeah, Eddie George retired. Or perhaps you meant Quarterback...nope, not a Carson Palmer in the bunch. Not even a Matt Leinart. Not even a Matt Cassel.

Are you joking? There isn't a school that has been a bigger factory for the NFL than THE Ohio State University. The University of Second Choice isn't even in the ballpark.

Actually I believe that over the past 5-10 years Wisky has produced more NFL talent then any other college program.

cooper's teams were the ones with lots of 1st round nfl talent. tressel's teams have put guys in the pros, but lots of second-tier nfl talent.

just like usc had some guys bust out in the pros, so too has ohio state.
interestingly enough, ginn almost ended up at usc. would have been interesting to hear your take on him if he was a trojan instead of a buckeye.

Its sad to say but Miami has had more top notch players in the last 5 or 10 years. As for receivers its not close between SC and OSU. Boston, Galloway, and Glenn have all gone to the Pro Bowl, who else has from SC besides Meshawn? Don't forget, since we are taking last 5 or 10 years: ALL HE DOES IS CATCH TOUCHDOWNS!
soon to be HOF Cris Carter
