Congrats on this milestone, maxdemo. Some may think numbers aren't important and then they completely ignoe what 10,000 posts really represents. It means that a poster has contributed time and energy to make RX a great community. That cannot be ignored by those naysayers who think "too many posts are a sign of something wrong..." because they are: wrong.

Congrats!

Thanks everyone...and yes I know Lidge sucks...LOL

I had a day to reflect on what I have learned on this site...and I had some observations that I wanted to share.

On Gambling:
When I 1st came to this site I thought that I was a good capper and wanted to be share my info and also showboat that I could pick games better than most. Boy was I completely wrong in that assumption. I did the YTD records, the trends, the weather updates and all the info I tried to get to justify my picks. Started off good in the 1st year....but found that capping games was a full time job. I did all the things that posters here do now. Would go on a losing streak and then try to leave out my YTD or try to ignore what my YTD record was. I would spend all day reaserching info, scores, upcoming games...and in doing this I lost focus of what life was about...to me it was gambling this, gambling that. I love gambling and will continue to do so....but I will not let it consume me or effect my emotions (the highs and the lows). I spend less time on researching and actually going more w/ my gut instincts I love Dogs and the unders on a majority of my plays. I always play halves and quarters. I hate playing fulll games and never do. ( this might not work for everyone)

After 10 years of gambling on sports I have realized you make money at this by grinding away and not trying to hit a home run everyday on everyplay. Thats they key to my success...

On Offshore vs Local:
I am 100% offshore and have been for 7 years. I have an addiction w/ gambling and would get myself into trouble w/ a local. The books offshore offer so much more than any local could in regards to lines and variety...I would never go back to a local...JMO

On the industry and hows its changing:
I have been a part of the boom and the explosion that saw offshore becaome what it is today. I always had a feeling that the US govt could try to stop this at anytime. They KNOW how money is being transfered (Neteller, WU, Credit cards, Bank Wires and now money gram). IMO they really didnt attack offshore until the owners of books started blitzing the US public w/ ads, TV interviews about how much $$% they were making, and promises of trying to make it legal. (which I dont forsee happening in my lifetime). They have made a statement w/ their recent crackdown and have put a big dent in offshore gambling. It should be clear to anyone that plays offshore, that your $$ is never 100% safe in ANY book or processor. You take a risk of playing offshore and if you cant afford to lose that $$ then dont play its that simple. There are some great books out the but if the DOJ wanted they could take down any book or try to....and thus forcing you the customer to either lose your $$ or wait more than you wanted to to get paid. IMO I dont see how the DOJ could not be interested in BoDog as their next target and the owner of Bodog...

In conclusion:
I love to Gamble and I will continue to play offshore as long as there are books that have the lines that I like to play and an easy way to get paid. This site is the BEST site on the net for gamblers to share info and keep each other safe...i really do believe that . Without watchdog site like therx I dont think the industry would have become the monster that it is today....we should all try to look out for one another.
The above staement are just my opinion's and thats all they are but they are what I truely believe. :toast:
