sales is not for everyone. i am in med sales too and i love it. everyone always wants to get into this type of sales, but they do not relize how hard it is. if you are young and do not have a family, get out of sales and find something you enjoy doing.

How long have been in medical sales? I have been trying to get in for a while. I am in pharma now.

pharma is not a direct sale, so it may be harder to get into medical. if you have at least 3 years of sales exp., you should be competitive. never hurts to know people in the industry too. that is how i got in.

Been at the same place for about 9 years & have moved up to pretty much where I want to be. It's not a bad gig at all, but it's certainly not for everyone.

as a network engineer/admin I get to

a) work from home if I feel like it
b) do my own schedule
c) learn stuff on my free time, which is a LOT

downsides

d) level of stress during an emergency can be VERY high all this while you are being yelled at by your boss or constantly hearing "how is it going"
e) you get to fix big mistakes of other people sometimes
f) because most of the time (if you are good) you dont have a lot to do......sometimes they assume that you are replaceable.........but later on they have a crisis and they are quickly put on their place :lolBIG:
