ESPN beats their hot person\topic INTO THE GROUND. Totally logical to feel this way.

I feel you on that over hype. But then again its ESPN's job to ride on the newest and (so called) greatest nuts daily.

Yeah Felix is making Dice - K look silly (no hit through 7)

How do you like them apples?

Good for Felix, Dice is still the bigger story he is an international phenomenon.

Felix isn't? You realize he's from Venezuela, right?

You realize he has better #'s in his first two starts than Dice-K BY FAR.

And, Seattle didn't pay a gross amount for him.

You Red Sox fans just can't admit when you lose.

Yes yes yes yes.... Phil Mickelson, Terrell Owens, Barry Bonds, Brady Quinn, and there are many others.

I try not to dislike Mickelson cause he seems like a decent guy but man they just hype him up so much. Vijay Singh was better than Phil for years and ESPN didn't give a damn about him except when he made that one dumb comment about Annika Sorenstram.

I'm a huge Laker / Kobe Bryant fan but I'll admit they're overhyped too. Basically a .500 team and their games are on ESPN all the time. Highlights are always towards the start of the late sports center etc.

Well I hated Barry Bonds anyways but I hate how they talk about every single at bat he has this season. If he pops out, strikes out, or takes a dump on the field. It's all going to be HUGE news on ESPN.

Then they'll talk about his next HR like he hit it to the moon. He still has a handful more to go before he ties Aaron and even then, most people aren't going to care. But ESPN will ram it down our throats.

ESPN kisses everyones ass...but they do it for as little as possible.

Slam dunking to me is horseshit, but the brothers love it.

Bonds is a convicted steroid user, but the brothers love him..

stewart scott and terrico are paid less than a million a year, but the brothers love them, espn loves them, and they love espn....great relationship there.

Espn has a great great format, but man, their ass kissing is sickening.

God bless :hump: :hump: :hump: :bigfinger

"LOL... they hype up phil mickelson???? Please give facts to back this up."

Here's my facts:
A very special Sports Century about Phil Mickelson in 2005
Dan Patrick interviews Phil on radio show every chance he gets
ESPN magazine cover March 26, 2007 Guess who was on it? The guy who has won one tournament (Pebble Beach) since last year's Masters... Mr. Mickelson himself.

If that ain't hype -- I don't know what is...

I forgot Bob Knight (the Knight school tv show) though I hated him long before. There's no doubt though the Bonds hype is relentless and the worst...
