Don't get caught up in all the battles for 2nd and 3rd.

The real playoffs start tonight at 8 ET in downtown Buffalo.

It's now or never.

 OK

Billsey, thats why the NHL playoffs is the best. I didnt know the Nucks went into 4 OT's. I stayed up to the 2nd overtime and went to sleep. When a team and moves to the next round, you know it has been earned.

HSBC is a great place to watch hockey players take dives and beg for penalties.

Cincy,
Trivia question, which team led the NHL in both total goals and 5-on-5 goals this season?

Relax, it's only game one!

What I would like to see is Vincent Lacailiver get into a fight with John Madden, just to show that Vinny means business.

Then, after they get out of the pentaly box, Martin St.Louis should go for round two. Old time hockey.

Hey if they want to check you into the ice, beat them up!

One year, Mario Lemiuex was in the playoffs against Washington. Of course, the Capitals put their checking line on him, and in game 1 it was all grab and hold, hack and slash, that's how it was back in the 1990's.

On the first shift of game 2, Mario Lemuieux on his first shift went straight into the corner without even trying to get the puck or get involved in the rush, but all he wanted to do was elbow the checking centre in the face, which he did. Just to send a message. The refs did not even call a pentalty on the play.

Vincent Lacavilier is a champion, and he will do whatever it takes to win!

Madden has been around too long to pull that stunt tonight. The league keeps tabs on divers - and that was embarassing to watch.
