top of the 4th, 1 out, runners on 1st and 2nd for the halos.
full count on the batter, both runners go, sowers pitches to the batter, indians catcher kelly shoppach throws to third, has the lead runner out by AT LEAST 10 feet. andy marte doesn't apply the tag as he's waiting for the home plate umpire to make the call which was a STRIKE, by the time he gets it, the lead runner slides into 3rd right infront of marte and before marte wakes up and realizes he needs to make the tag.
sowers gets the next guy to fly out to right and thankfully no harm done. but that was just DUMB.

This game is starting to look a bit like a pitchers' duel. I was hoping for a bit more from the Cleveland bats. I know a lot of cappers here are on the Tribe, so let's go Indians!!

I'm on them as well. I didn't think Moseley would match Sowers out for out, but I knew Sowers would be dealin' tonight.

Easy now calling Sowers a stud....

....

Indians ML (-135)

Sowers looked great vs. the White Sox a week or so ago and his style is suited to shut down the Angels bats. He'll be throwing quick and lots of strikes. The hungover Halos bats won't be able to figure him out. He should go 6-7 innings and the Cleveland offense should wake up after napping and scoring only 1 run on Wednesday night.

I posted that at 4:09AM CT this morning. I think I got it in on time... would you allow it KMan? I MAYBE wrong about the Indians' bats, but they still have a lot of time to put up some runs, but I think I was right on w/ Sowers.

if anyone watched Sowers last year they would know he is a stud. it's this Moseley guy that's surprising

i dont expect theatrical punch outs a la frank drebin, but these weak third strike calls are anticlimactic, and contributed to the mental blunder in the first post

He's not saying "It's easy to call Sowers a stud NOW.

He's saying "Easy now" as in "Not so fast" as in "Cool your jets boy." He's saying Sowers is not a stud. At least that's how I read it.

Oh ok, if that's the case, I owe you an apology KMan. Thanks for clearing it up turnip.

that is how i read it....and Sowers is definitley a stud. didn't get any attention because of Liriano's coming out. keep in mind he has been the majors less than a year, and if you recalculate his numbers outside his one or two shaky starts last season they are impressive.

That's what I'm saying.... The guy does not have the great stats that I consider a stud to have but like I said different strokes for different folks.
