Who can create a 'Platinum Thread' in the OffShore Forum?

A platinum post is a post that ends up with over 1000 views, not that rare but not common either, double platinum is 2k, triple platinum (3K) is rare and so on.

Platinum in offshore?

Difficult.

Has to be something controversial and you would have to throw some salt in the wound to get it started a little.

I could do it in the RR, but the Offshore is hard. Good challenge.

Just did a search and I have only created one thread that had more than 10k views.. All others never reached more than 7.2k..

See I'd figure it'd be the other way around. My guess is that most posters/lurkers a) don't know about the RR, or b) don't visit the RR.

I think the way to go is to create a controversial thread in the Offshore...hope it sticks for a few days before getting moved to the RR, then hope its momentum doesn't die entirely after it's moved.

A generic topic that is controversial only in context could do it, however, since it'd probably stay in the Offshore for a long time. Something like, "Michael Jordan is the most overrated basketball player of all-time." Or some crap like that.

The rubber room is where controversial, good, popular threads go to die. Except for the few of us pricks who like to bump those joints regularly.

Also as the Rx has expanded with so many more forums, the offshore viewing is much lower, other websites entire forum is pretty much their 'main forum' not so here , there are so many forums and threads to look at now compared to the early days...anyway this was just for fun.

There are so many great posters around here now, you can always find something to read.
