anyone done this before? Damn it hurt like a mofo. My typing is a bit slowed by the injury.

I was shaving white choc. with a new peeler we got, and the warm piece of choc. broke, and off went the finger tip.

went to urgent care, and the bunch of yahoo's there told me the bleeding would stop, well, this happended Tuesday, and Wednesday i get up and my hardwood floors are covered in blood. leaked right though the bandage.

to say the least, it has been a challenging couple days. i ended up in the ER, they fixed me up, but I am a gimp for 2 more days before i can remove the dressings.

Did it Tuesday nit today

Depending how deep it will heal from within and out. Keep it covered with Neosporin a couple of days past that you think its ok. If not it will dry out and open up and take twice as long to heal.

There is a great item that I get at a local Farm and Fleet, it is horse tape for the horses legs. Cheap, not sticky, flexible, and only sticks to itself.

I am a contractor and things like this happen all the time. Best advice I can give. If you do not have that store find somewhere that sells horse supplies.

Back in the day I worked in this deli while I was in high school, that also had a carryout, anytime they need pepperoni we had to slice it for them...The pepperoni sticks are pretty small compared to slicing lunchmeat...

I guess you can imagine what happened next, I was barrelling down on the nub of the pepperoni that was in the electric slicer and woopsie the pepperoni slipped out and the tip of my thumb was sliced instead...I shaved off the side of my thumb instead of the pepperoni....

Went to the hospital got the tetinous shot, they told me my thumb would grow back, believe it or not the side of my thumb did pretty much grow back!

I remember exactly when this happened, it was on St Patricks day during the NCAA's , I was watching UNC and Notre Dame play at the hospital, this was in the late 80's

Yikes, sorry to hear man. Hope you get better soon.

Did they sew the tip back on? How much was taken off? Just like the skin, or actually a bit of flesh?

Does someone have to worry about getting a suprise in their Skyline Chili Cheesecake? :puke1:
