When John Gibbons shuffles his lineup after a win, fade the Jays!

That's twice in the last three games he decides to leave Reed Johnson out and switch up his top of the order, messing up team chemistry. When the hell will this idiot ever learn that when you win, you don't mess with lineups.

Reed Johnson is a career .308 hitter versus lefties but instead he starts Matt Stairs who is .236 career versus lefties. Lyle Overbay is a .285 hitter versus lefties and he is left out as well. WTF! Who the hell in their right minds starts both Jason Phillips and Greg Zaun at the same time? They are both almost automatic outs. Oh and who could forget John MacDonald and his .237 lifetime batting average.

I guess the Jays are going to be a great fade all year when Gibbons decides to tinker with lineups like he did again tonight.

Had the Jays kept the same lineup as last night, I don't know that they would be winning but they would definitely have some runs by now.

After tonight, the fade could be 2-0.

I totally agree but having said that, the Jays have no excuse for not backing up their pitchers with at least 5-6 runs per home game. Chacin was 6-1 at home last year with an ERA of 6.00+.

I just don't understand why he went with almost the same bush league lineup as he did on Tuesday night when the Jays managed only 3 runs all night. That was against a red hot Greinke who is a righty. This is against a lefty making only his second start since last June and he took out 2-3 players who can really make lefties pay. It makes no sense when we have the division lead and have a chance to build on it.

Reed is one of the most underrated leadoff guys in baseball and there is no excuse for sitting him twice in three nights. None whatsoever. Considering he is killer against lefties. I like Zaun but you can't have both him and Phillips starting...that's ridiculous.

Yeah Reed is a VERY VERY good play like the guy alot

That's my point though. He really gets this team going by getting on base and yet his ass is on the bench for the second time in three nights. I hope our GM is taking notes of this crap.

The perfect example is on the last pitch...Johnson would have made sure to at least sac fly a run to make it 4-3 but nope, Alex Rios pops out in foul territory. And then Matt Stairs swings at the first pitch and he's out too ending the inning. Had Overbay and Johnson been in instead, I don't think the Tigers would be leading right now.

Sorry...MacDonald came in for an injured Troy Glaus who somehow felt too hurt to keep going after hitting into a double play with 1 out and the bases juiced.
