So has your bank put a hold on checks from Bookmaker?

just got a check by fed ex from bookmaker/betcris for 1,000. I bank with bank of america. I've heard some stories from posters who say their banks are putting hold on checks. I cant recall for what amounts or what banks. I bank with bank of america. Is it safe to try and deposit? or am i better of going to one of those check cashing palces that charge 1-2%. My apologies if this is a stupid question but this is the first time I've done a payout after all the offshore problems happened. Thanx all.

Check Cashing Place (currency Exchange) Wont Cash It. Go To Your Bank And Wait It Out. You Will Have Availability In A Week Or So, Assuming It Clears

I got a check from BetJam in my account, no problems...

check was from a big bank.

the first one my bank sun trust put a 10 day hold on it, the next one no hold after the first check clear with no problems.......ck

Deposited a $1000 check from BookMaker at my bank, (wells fargo) last Monday, (4/9). It is available today, (Thursday, 4/12). I'm not sure when it cleared as I haven't bothered checking before reading this thread.

Used my BetPoints for a free withdrawl. Requested the withdrawl on Sunday April 1...got the check within 5 business days. Painless transaction.

I had a similar experience Vic, good to hear.

You won't have a problem cashing it, script. The worst that'll happen is a hold.

All banks hold international checks till they trust you. BOA will never trust you.

I can deposit up to about $20k at Wachovia with no hold because I've done it often. At BOA, they'll hold $10.

I am thinking of depositing to Bookmakers and join that NBA contest they are sponsoring. How fast did you receive the check after you made the request. I know when I called, they said 7-10 business days. But how long does it really take?

get a real bank
bank of america is the worst bank in this country
take your head out of your ass and you wont have ay problems cashing checks

Kidslick, Point Shaver is not banned, maybe he was fooling around with his own tagline. Some posters have done this in the past to make it look like they have been banned. Anyway banned is no longer there and I did not change it.
