Tough game gyne...Must say I am glad I laid off of today's card...you have balls to go against Roy at home...only other pitcher as dominant as him at home is Johan...

Yeah he will, but Bondy is no slouch either and I don't fault gyne for taking those odds. Bondy has had success vs the jays lineup, all except for vernon and keep in mind it was an error thsat gave te jays an extra run early on which was needed to take it into extra innings. I remember cause I had Roy in the opener. For me its a no play, I expect Bondy to go 6 minimum/Halladay 7 minimum...problem is Jays pen/Gibbons could fuck it up.

Arrghh, you and smartz both on the Kitties huh? I posted this in his thread...

FWIW, Halladay OWNS the Motor City Kitties.
Career vs. Det: 10-2, 1.93 ERA, 93.1 IP, 76 H, 0 ER, 8 BB, 66 K, 5 CG, 4 SO
It gets worse, Halladay @ home: 52-23, 3.39 ERA
Halladay at night: 55-31, 3.54 ERA (compared to 3.74 during the day)

Bonderman has done well vs. Tor as well but has an ERA near 5.00 on artificial turf. I doubt the BJays drop two in a row at home with their Ace of Aces on the mound.

You were on Toronto last night and Detroit tonight, that's kinda rough to jump from one bandwagon to the other. You'd probably have a better chance sticking on Toronto especially with Doc Halladay on the bump. GL if you choose to make any other plays, but at the moment, the BJays are one of my better plays.

Lets be fair...is that 10-2 record vs this same lineup?

Of course not. But do you think a pitcher cares whos at the plate? He goes onto the mound w/ memories of win after win after win against this team. All he sees is the "D" on their helmets and then he deals. I just can't believe some of the better cappers on this board are saying that Bonderman is better than Halladay at Toronto! That's absurbed! If the Kitties win, I'll be the first to give these cappers props, but it's just crazy IMO. But that's just that, my opinion.

1. I never said ondy was better, becuase he isn't.
2. You gave Roy's history vs Detroit, which I am fully aware of, but if those stats are derived facing a different lineup, then how relevant are those stats?

I didn't say you said that, I'm just seeing two very respected cappers (smartz & gyne) are already on the Tigers and I've seen even more people say that Bonderman is underrated. You maybe right that previous stats maybe not predict how a certain pitcher will do against the current lineup, but you'd be amazed. Lets just leave it on the field and see what happens tomorrow. I just feel as though the BJays, with a decent showing by their offense, should win this game.

I never said Bonderman is better than Halladay. I think Bonderman is capable of pitching at the same level as Halladay. I for one feel Halladay is about as good as it gets when it comes to pitching. But I also feel Bonderman is well on his way to reaching that elite status as well. And from my perspective (me putting Bonderman up there and being backed by a capable team) +135 looks like a bargain to me. You obviously disagree and I can understand why. At least one of us will walk away a winner.

Yes...I would lean Jays as well, but I am in the bunsiness of making money and its too chalky for me. Bondy is not underrated...Tigs got their publicity last year. The fact is that Bondy is not in the same league as Roy. Now will that translate into a Toronto vitory, that remains to be seen.
