Where'd you here that? I'm already on the Reds, but might add another half unit or so if he's definitely out.

Whoa, whoa, folks, Ramirez and Derosa are not Mantle and Ruth.

Where'd you hear this and who is starting in their place? If Theriot is starting at second in place of Derosa AND batting second, their lineup is better. I hope we see Murton in left as well. Their lineup would be; Soriano/Theriot/Lee/Barrett/Jones/Murton/Cedeno/Isturiz? I'll be waiting for The Score to have their update at 1PM CT in which they should have the lineup and I'll let you guys know.

Cubs do better without a guy hitting .406? I'd be willing to bet that most people who took the Cubs won't be exactly happy if this is true.

They won't do better because his #s are on the bench, but depending on who starts in his place, the lineup 1-8 will be more balanced and the other 7 hitters will do better. But again, we don't know what the lineup looks like just yet.

Found this on Yahoo. Weird that it talks about him being out in the past tense, but looks like he is out.

Ramirez out with swollen wrist, goes to doctor

April 13, 2007

CHICAGO (AP) -- Third baseman Aramis Ramirez, one of the Chicago Cubs' hottest hitters during the first eight games, was out of the lineup with a swollen right wrist Friday and was sent to a hand specialist to be examined.

Ramirez had jammed the wrist in spring training but had shown no effects in the early going this season, batting .406 with a homer and five RBIs.

"Let's hope it's not serious, but he's got a lot of swelling," manager Lou Piniella said Friday before the Cubs opened a three-game home series against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Cubs haven't played in two days. Their Wednesday game with Houston was postponed by snow and rain and they had an off-day Thursday. But when Ramirez came to the clubhouse Friday, his wrist was swollen.

Second baseman Mark DeRosa was also out of the starting lineup after his back locked up but was available for emergency duty.

Right-hander Mark Prior, who was optioned to Triple-A Iowa at the end of spring training and then put on that team's disabled list, was scheduled to see orthopedic specialist Dr. Lewis Yocum on Friday afternoon. Prior had to leave his first start of extended spring training Thursday with shoulder soreness.

"It's disappointing you know. We were hoping to get him on track," Piniella said.

The Cubs' other often-injured right-hander Kerry Wood, who started the season on the disabled list, visited Dr. Dave Altchek, an orthopedic specialist with the New York Mets.

Wood was told he has tendinitis but does not need surgery, general manager Jim Hendry said.

Wood, who chose over the offseason to rehab a partially torn rotator cuff, has been sent back to Arizona. Hendry said the Cubs' hope is to get Wood's shoulder pain free, so he can resume throwing as soon as possible.

Wood threw 18 pitches in his last spring training outing out of the bullpen March 25. His arm felt weak when he left that game and the shoulder stiffened up more than usual the next day.

Screw you bitches. A Soriano is due for a HUGE day. 0 HR and 0 RBI this season? Watch that change today. I predict a 3 HR, 8 RBI day from Soriano. You heard it here first.

Cubbies win 14-2. Zambrano pitches a gem with 13 strikeouts and only 3 hits.

And I can understand that logic. But I just found it odd to claim they were better without him, especially since they're going up against a very tough pitcher today.

Oh for the love of God... why is Floyd in the lineup??? In this game, we may perhaps see the two worst LF in the game.

OK, well the lineup is pretty much what I expected except Jones is hitting 3rd ahead of Lee... Pineilla might be losing it already lol. Nonetheless, the lineup looks balanced. Good day for Lee's first HR of the year.

The Score in Chicago just confirmed that lineup. I've been on the Cubs -1.5 and will remain on them. Zambrano will toss 7-8 innings of no more than 2 ER and the offense will put up at least 7-8 runs. I just feel it.

Please STFU. You kno nothin about sports obviously. I'm very upset that I'm on the same side as this whiney bitch. Dude how in the world can you say the Cubs are better without him? He's one of their superstars.. he's batting over .400 and he's good for 35+ homers a year. But they are better without them. Guy sorry please let the Cubs win.. not for me to make money.. but so this kid doesn't ramble about the game being fixed and Zambrano bein paid off and how fucking Soriano doesn't go off. K I'm done thanks guys!!
