I am 7-3 in baseball on the year, have posted five straight winning wagers and I am coming off a 4-0 night in the NHL playoffs. The money train is rolling right now and its time to keep it going. Here we go with my first bet of the day:

CINCINNATI REDS ML +154

This was not a tough call for me. Aramis Ramirez is out for one and Aaron Harang has always dominated the Cubs both at home and at Wrigley with a 6-1 record lifetime versus the Reds and a 3.82 ERA in those games. I did a little bit of math this time and found that the starting eight for the Reds are batting a combined .282 lifetime versus right handed pitchers. The Cubs, without Ramirez, are fielding a starting eight batters who have combined to hit .274 lifetime versus right handed pitchers so I would like to think the Reds are going to have plenty of opportunities to make some plays in this game and support Harang with some runs. Zambrano is one of the best daytime pitchers in baseball but I don't know that he is as effective in the colder weather like today. The month of April has always been the one and only month where he is a good fade with his 4.21 ERA. His ERA is well below 4.00 in each and every other month of the season career wise. The Reds already have a win at home against Zambrano and as much as I believe in revenge spots, I don't know that the Cubs can get it done against a pitcher who has dominated them in the past. Not much else can be said about this game. The X-Factor for me is that kid Josh Hamilton who should continue to play well and who could be the feel good story of the year in MLB. I'll take my chances against a Cubs team that has not won at home yet. Zambrano should never be backed in April, he has never pitched all that well in April and I am jumping on one of his last April starts before he kicks it into high gear and tears it up in the summer. GO REDS!

GL today Mista.. I have always respected you here and CM, but I am on the other side. I don't think this is a game where I wanna bet based on value. No doubt Harang at clsoe to +150 is extraordinary value. In this case I went with the Cubs because I personally don't think Harang can outpitch Zambrano again. But again, GL my man.

Alright I am now 8-3 on the year in baseball and have posted six straight winners so why not add one more tonight and possibly a late one as well. Here we go guys:

CHICAGO WHITE SOX ML -104

Alright well here is basically why I am on the White Sox. This is one of their best lineups they have put out there all season and after losing a few to the Tribe at home earlier this season, I have no doubt the White Sox are out for some revenge. This is also one of the weakest lineups the Indians have fielded against right handed pitchers. I did a bit of math again and the White Sox nine hitters have a combined career average of .280 versus right handed pitchers. Fasuto Carmona is a good pitcher but the weather is still frigid and I don't know that he is going to be effective enough in his first home start. He is 0-2 versus the White Sox in his only two career starts and with a weak lineup to back him up, I think he gets smashed. If you combine the nine hitter lineup of the Indians tonight, they combine to hit .263 career versus right handed pitchers. Vazquez has pitched quite well versus this team over the years, holding the Indians to a .228 batting average against him. April and September have always been his best months of the year to pitch and that won't change tonight. He was outstanding in his first start and I think he's going to be this team's best starter for a little while. I don't know about you guys when Ryan Garko is a cleanup hitter anywhere, that's not too promising. As I said before, Carmona is going to struggle with the cold weather and the White Sox are going to break out the big bats. Cleveland just doesn't have enough depth in the bottom half of their order tonight and pretty much everyone after Garko is bad against righties. I know the Sox have not done much in the Jake the last few years but like I said before, the Sox have one of their strongest lineups against righties and the Indians are coming off a lucky win in Milwaukee against the Angels. WHITE SOX TO THE BANK BABY!
