Why do people bet on the Cubs

i lost a small play with the under today in this game.but really i dont understand why anybody would wager a dollar on this team as a fav,maybe as a dog but a damn 160 fav.would like to know why to bet them,do you think they are due to win etc ,because they have great pitchers.this is a crap bunch just like all the other seasons imo.ck

Was talking about this with a friend yesterday, this team is not that good and sooner then later vegas needs to learn that....hopefully later

Zambrano lost to Harang in their first matchup. Low juice seemed like a solid play. 5- 0 shouldve been good enough. Unreal.

The Cubs were the right side. It was one bad 1/2 inning.

Just like your under was probably the right side, but one bad half inning cost us both the bets.

I like Hill a lot and think he's the best pitcher on their staff. That line looks much better than the -160 today. I will follow the Cubbies tomorrow.

I'm going to try and not bet the Cubs when they are like over -140 or -150 favorites cause that's when it seems like they'll really screw me over.

These kinds of losses seem to have a carryover effect on a club...that could last a few days...

That being said...After the game Piniella exploded on a reporter during his postgame presser...9 games in to the season...LOL...

He also singled out Ohman...

I think the Cubs will respond tomorrow...Piniella wants to break this losing streak...and the Cubs need to get a win at home.

The price is not unreasonable on the Cubs tomorrow either.

I just heard the press conference and it was hilarious when Lou was talking about Ohman throwing 30 foot break balls. :lolBIG:

Zambrano pitched very well for Cubs last year, especially during last part of the year.

Look at the other aspects of this team, manager, etc.

They suck butt.

Fade these guys, Just auto[fade] these guys, and I bet, you will come out strong. NO doubt.

I am taking the Reds again saturday Arroyo may be a not so good pitcher but, it is better then getting beat by the Cubs who are a bad club take the Reds the next two days. I just hope vegas's stupidity holds for a few months
