Hit him in the eye man, come on nothing is wrong with him. It bounced off the wall and hit him in his head. He should be up by now, this is sad and embarrassing.

have you gotten hit in the eye w/ a baseball? I haven't but i'd think it hurts like hell. I'm not talk about Little League pitching either.

If it wasn't a big deal, Dodger players wouldn't have come over and they wouldn't have stopped the game for him even though he was not in the field of play.

Yeah I have gotten hit man... Come on haha I told you I played baseball from age of 5 on and would have maybe played small D1 if I didn't tear my rotator Cuff my senior year.

Shit does hurt a lot but you don't got to lay there for 5 minutes haha... Lets be real. Shit probably hurt real real real bad. He had a welt but he didn't need to lay there.

sorry i didn't remember you could have played small DI baseball. I don't pay that much attention.

Look, that dude probably NEVER played baseball so to get hit by a ball hurts like hell.

Trust me, he KNEW he was on national television and in front of the whole stadium. If he wanted to get up and act like everything was cool I'm sure he would have. So he must have gotten his bell rung a bit.

Oak Park homie...

Played Palatine Travelers as a kid. Then played Pony ball around here. Played in two fall ball leagues with a couple of my buddies who went on to bigger and better things with baseball, and I sat at home being left behind haha...

Tried to play on the Dupage Dragons this last summer with my buddy who plays at FSU. I got the cut on the final day and it sucked, but I would have been the only non college D1 player on the team so it is understandable.

Played on a Palatine team where we were ranked in the top 10 in the nation as kids. Went to the Pony World Series, and went down state all four years. I was not on the team for all four years, three of the four though.

Is PONY any good in your area? Cause where Im from it's a horseshit league...Just curious (dont get offensive)

Top Notch. We don't play travel ball. Tim Dennehy, Ian Berger, and Ruairi O'Connor. Just to name three guys who I am good friends with that were in our league and one got a full ride to Texas, one got a 2/3 ride to FSU, and one got a full ride to Mizzou to play baseball.

It is funny that you say that, because when we played tournaments in Florida and stuff we were a part of Babe Ruth Baseball leagues because that was what was good in Florida and the South. Up here Babe Ruth baseball is an absolute joke. Our High School was constantly ranked nationally and we sent like 22 players on to D1 baseball since I got on varsity. Of course I blew making it 23 but oh well, but Pony was what you played. We had two levels of Pony and you had to try out. We had a junior Pony for kids who got cut from Pony and a Pony league with a draft and everything. Very very intense.

Shit, trying to think back. They weren't a team that really competed with us if I remember correctly. We were something like 41-1 in the state of Illinois when I was a kid. And like 88-6 nationally, but we blew our national tournament I think.

We were only like 12

EJ I would agree Pony out here is very good baseball... but did you play on a Legion teams? Out in the burbs it was highly highly competitive. It was like the top 2-3 players from each team fox valley area that I was on and we played some hiqh quality ball. Everyone played some kind of college ball besides me and 2 other guys. I decided to fuck college and work for my dad.

Please give me the chance to throw a baseball at your face, so we can see how long it takes for you to get up.

I'll make sure to aim at your temple.

Do you really think that if the guy COULD'VE gotten up, he would've? Do you really think he wasn't aware of how embarassing this was gonna be for him?

Guy must've been seriously hurt if he couldn't get up. Give the guy a break. Jesus christ.

Yeah I heard that before so we had to wear these patches on our pony uni's and shit haha... people hated it.

There have been a few articles in the Tribune written about the quality of baseball played in Oak Park River Forest pony baseball league.

I know it was a while ago... but i remember Palatine was one of are huge rivals and i dont remember exactly but we always had real good games vs you guys. by far the toughest team we ever played in this area. Palatine and Wheaton were always tough. But we were solid we played you guys in omaha and beat you out there i remember.. i dont know if we were same age group im 22 going on 23 this summer

We didn't qualify for the Fox Valley teams I don't think. I could be wrong, but we had a Pony all star team that traveled nationally and once internationally. We played on our Pony All Star team and that was our whole summer, and we also had a Colt baseball league for a transition between 8th grade and freshman year after Pony ended to keep us in shape.

My buddy played on college level teams for like 3 years, but he never played legion games. A lot of kids got invited to what were called showcase teams. Which were the top 50 players in the midwest and they played other regions. I didn't make the top 50 cut haha... I was like 195th or some shit haha... Just missed it haha...
