Why do people keep laying the juice with the Cubs?

I can understand taking them when they are underdogs. But why would anyone take this team right now as a favorite? Just wondering and trying to get some insight because I truly don't understand it. They aren't playing well right now and I can not believe Marquis is a favorite tomorrow.

Someone please help me to understand.

They have a good team on paper, just not clicking atm. They are also playing a SD team that aren't very good at hitting anything so that kind of negates their pitching advantage. It is also outside of pitcher friendly Petco Park.

Clay Hensley has pitched 1 game vs. the Cubs, it was at Wrigley, and it was a 2-hit shut out (gave up 1 BB and struck out 2). He obviously won that game. Padres look good on Monday.

Ha Ha.. This post right here symbolizes the intelligence and class of many Cub Fans I have met. And the funny thing is it seems southsiders always get the bad press?

As far as the Cubs tomorrow, I thought long and hard about pounding San Diego. Especially after they got Shut down by the Mighty Kyle Lohse yesterday, Still I decided to lay off Hensley who has been rocked twice already by a mediocre SF offense. Marquis is a gas can, but did have a good spring and first outing.
