The how do you think the Sopranos will end, thread?

Been thinking about this alot lately and you would have to think the writers will be creative enough to make you think one way and then go another with it.

That is why I think the whole Phil angle will not be the end of the Soprano family. That is too easy of a way out. I am sure there will be some major players killed off but not the ending most are starting to think.

I think it will end one of two ways: 1) I think Tony is starting to feel old (fight with Bobby, Christopher disrespecting him) and wants to walk away as he is starting to wonder why it is all worth it lately but like most know you can't get out of the mob alive (LOL). 2) Their maybe a terrorist angle that may become a stroyline as I see no other reason to keep this on the back burner like they have.

Whatever happens I don't think Tony will die.

What rumors or different endings do you guys think will happen? We can look back in a couple of months and look back in this thread and see who figured it out.

They are shooting right now in Vegas...reports are that Tony is wearing make-up that indicates he is pretty beat up...I've also heard they are shooting several different endings.

have heard the same thing about different endings and they will decide which one to run a few days before.

That is true about the different endings. I think that Tony will fake his own death to get out as his world is really closing in on him. There is a rumor going around that A.J will commit suicide so that could really make Tony look at things.
I don't think however it will end in a bloodbath and would not be suprised if most of the main players are alive at the end.
I have also heard other rumors that Paulie goes off the wall after his mother is killed in a bungled hit and another rumor that Adrianna isn't dead as Silvio was a Fbi informant the whole time. That one could hold a little truth as i don't remember him ever killing anyone (He shot Sal after Tony had already put him down) and you never see Ade get shot..
No matter what happens i am looking forward to it..It's been one hell of a ride!!

I'm not buying the Silvio theory just because Chase said that he really liked the Adriana character and he just wanted her to be killed off-screen out of respect.

What may creep up next week is the body that the FBI found. It could be classic Sopranos where it's an obscure minor character, or it could be Adriana.

I think Tony will end up in jail after everything is said and done. I know it's anticlimactic but that Rico case has been a plot since Junior was locked away. He's been dodging bullets along the way, but his luck may run out in the end.

By the way, are they shooting in Vegas because they were pissed with how the last scene (ice cream parlor) was leaked out?

Also, what would be the point of showing the scene of Sylvio taking her out there and pointing the gun at her head? It was just the two of them, so no point to fake it.

Chase has said that she is dead...

I think she is buried under Carm's spec house.

I do agree that the body (whoever it is) is under the Spec house. Could it be Fat Dom (the guy that was making fun of Vito)? That would really set it off between NY and Jersey and would probably be the straw that broke the Camel (Phil's) back.

Syl is not in the FBI.....

He just killed some dude like 4 episodes ago at the end of Season 6 Part 1 with a butcher knife.

And Sal was working with the Feds at the time...

So you cannot read into anything like that...Fat Dom getting knifed by Carlo and Sil means nothing as far as potential informants go.

We're running out of time, so lets get to the good stuff, we're gonna need 5 solid episodes of tremendous Soprano goodies.

I really hope the show doesn't go out as if they're just living happily like so many seasons end, all sitting around singing....at this point there's way too many loose ends that will never be tied up....and now this Christopher angle , which I don't like.

We just don't have time to go off in another direction, I'd rather see a juicy past storyline tie into a slam bam ending.

The ducks would be a fitting ending but to me the ducks signified Tony's family and how he felt he needed to take care of them. When it is all said and done i think it will be obvious that Tony failed at taking care of his "ducks"

Would make for a good ending:
Tony is gone (dead, missing, in jail), A.J is dead,Meadow is out of the house and just Carmella sitting in the back yard reflecting and here come the ducks and they just end it with a shot of them landing in the pool and sitting there quacking..

I thought there were 9 episodes for this last run. In any case, the tone has been set that the feud between Tony and Chris will be the biggest storyline. Adriana's fate may get tied into it as well. Paulie and Sylvio definitely need more to work with.

I would prefer less stuff involving Dr. Melfi at this point.

I'm not so sure Chrissy/Tony angle is the big storyline, we've seen this many times over the years, something will apear to be happening and then it will be cast aside... I could see them just shaking hands next episode , a kiss on the cheek and off to something else, they (the writers) do this all the time.

the ducks being AJ and Meadow, return. AJ gets involved possibly by killing someone and becoming part of the family. Chase has said there would be no definitive ending, whatever he does you can bet it wont be obvious or typical.

No Fat Dom got cut up and spread out. Remember last year they showed Sil and one other guy cutting him up then they showed his head getting kicked down a sewer
