Okay so I made a mistake by betting on the afternoon game (a game I woulda never touched had it not been the only game) and I am now 12-5 on the year but still up some big time cash. It's slim pickings tonight but there is only one play I like and I don't care how much I have to pay to get it:

ATLANTA BRAVES ML -185

Alright so I am back to betting a bit of chalk, have not done it since I last bet on the Braves which was I think on Saturday or Sunday...not sure. Anyways, I have said it too many times before, I don't know that the Braves are going to lose a single game against a mediocre left-handed pitcher this season. Once again they have stacked their lineup with a bunch of guys who can really crush lefties. If you combined the Braves starting eight natural batters tonight, they have combined for a lifetime average of .291 versus left-handed pitchers. That's some incredible stuff and as I talked about before, when you have Matt Diaz and Craig Wilson at the bottom of your order, you know you have a good team. Matt Chico is making only his third MLB start tonight and he has no idea what he is in for. Actually he does. Chico faced these guys last week and lost 8-0 although he allowed only one earned run. His ERA is 7.27 on the year and that's not about to improve against a team that is loaded with lefty killers. On the other side of the mound is Braves lefty Chuck James who is 13-4 lifetime as a major league starter with a 3.45 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and has held all his opponents to .233. Making things even better is the fact that the starting eight natural batters for the Nationals tonight are batting a combined lifetime .252 versus left-handed pitchers and I don't know that they can get more than one hit against James. The -1.5 would be smart here but I don't feel like messing around with the extra run. The Nats are a disaster...fade them. GO BRAVES!
