In a little rut. 2 straight losing days. And the frustrating part is, I had a lot of other games pegged. Let's get back to winning ways, and head back towards the goal of 150+ units for the season. Starting off with a solid 3* play and one I feel good about.

3* Arizona Diamondbacks Team Total over 4.5

I don't like Tomko, and this D-Back team is solid. #1 in the Majors at 59 runs scored vs. right handed pitching. They face a sub-par righty tonight, on their home turf, off a loss last night. I also love Micah Owings, but he's probably due to get hit around a little bit - so I'm just going to stick with the team total because I am confident that the D-Backs can get to Tomko tonight.

2* Seattle Mariners -103

Seattle one of the best home teams in baseball. Minnesota one of the worst. It's that simple. Ramon Ortiz has been outstanding this year, but both wins come under the friendly roof in Minnesota. He is a little different pitcher on the road, and he has the tendency to give up the big fly on the road. Ortiz has been pitching over his head, and this is the game to come back down to earth. Lefties crush Ortiz, so look for Ibanez and Ichiro to have good games. Mariners are swining it hot right now.

2* Boston/Toronto under 9 +110

Can't resist this line at all. With Dice-K on the mound, you know you will get a good outing. The question is, will Bostons offense dominate? No. They are one of the worst teams in the bigs in scoring runs on the road, and even worse vs. lefties. Only 10 runs scored this year vs. lefties. Getting +110 makes this a solid 2*.

2* Indians/Yankees over 10.5 -120

This play should have been a 4*-5* play, but there is no umpire information available, the line is 10.5 and you have to lay -120 on top of it. So, this play was cut in half.

Indians and Yankees had to of lead MLB last year in most runs scored between two teams. It was ridiculous. No reason for these teams to stop their scoring now. Yankees overs are 18-8 after they lose, 7-3 when they return home from a long road trip, and 6-1 in Westbrooks last 7 starts vs. NY.

Westbrook's ERA balloons 1.5 runs higher when he pitches on the road. Yankees are top 5 in hitting righties, and top 5 home offense in baseball. Cleveland, meanwhile is #1 road offense in baseball, and #7 in hitting vs. lefties, and they'll face an unproven rookie tonight in Wright.

Box- just wondering why you don't nail lines the night before?

For instance, I got the Yankees over at 10-110 last night.

Westbrook would have been better off putting it on a tee...Needless to say they "Yanked" him....As when we talked about the umpire, if ur watching I believe the postage stamp strike zone answers it...

For instance, I got the Yankees over at 10-110 last night.

A few reasons:

Mainly some nights I'm more busy than others. Some nights I'm a little more tired than others, and capping games for me is a grind, especially early in the season when I am really trying to familiarize myself with each pitcher's updated stats and trends. I do A LOT of research to make sure I cover every angle and put myself in high percentage situations.

I dont have any systems, or power rankings or any of that to point out which plays have value. I use my capping experience, knowledge of the game, edge of reading lines, seeing how it plays out a bit. As the season goes on, I will remember things about pitchers and teams and trends and will be able to start capping a bit just by looking at the card and using logic about the game, and I'll start posting more overnights because there will be less work to do.

Hope that makes sense.

Not sure about the Mariners Pick-Box. The problem is Weaver. He got shelled 2 years ago in the American league and then did good last year in the National. But I tell you I cringed when he came to Seattle(im a big fan) and he didnt dissapoint as he gave up 7 ER in 2 innings in his first start. Now maybe at home he will fair better, but Im not putting any money on the M,s with him on the mound until I see he can hold his own in this league. MOF I bet $200 on the Twins run total of over 4 tonight. Good luck Box thanks for all you do.

Been a little inconsistent lately. Starting to feel my way into the season, and as you can tell, my plays are starting to get bigger. Here's to a little more consistency, and making some big bucks this season.
