I don't know where to begin. I am now 14-8 on the year, my two game streak is done and I am sick and tired of the St. Louis Cardinals. They blew 4-1 and 5-4 leads in yesterday's game and then failed to cash in easy run situations in extra innings. Okay lets forget about it and now it's on to today. Here we go:

TORONTO BLUE JAYS ML -175

Call me a homer, call me a Jays fan. It doesn't matter because when Roy Halladay is on the mound at home and he is anything less than -200, there is a lot of value. You have to understand something about the Red Sox. Sure they can score runs at times and sure they are a good team but apart from their 3-4-5 batting spots, this team isn't all that scary. They managed only 5 runs in the first two games of this series and now it's up to Halladay to bring the rubber match home for the Jays and for the AL East Division lead. Like I said before, all the value is on Halladay and the Jays because a) so much is on the line and b) Halladay has looked like the Cy Young winner he was a few years back. I did some math for this game and the starting nine batters in today's lineup for Boston are batting a combined lifetime .270 versus right handed pitchers. Halladay is 8-7 career versus the Sox but he knows the magnitude of this game. Also, Halladay has pitched in 82 career daytime games and held opponents to .251 batting in those games. Julian Tavarez is on the mound for the Red Sox in this one and he is 0-1 after getting whacked around by the Texas Rangers in his only start. Tavares has pitched in 270 career daytime games and opposing batters are hitting .277 against him in those games. He is not a good indoor pitcher and his control seems to be off when playing in a domed surface. The starting nine batters for the Blue Jays today are batting a lifetime combined .278 versus right handed pitchers. Roy Halladay is a perfect pitching routine right now and the Jays are 9-1 the last 10 games where Halladay has had five days of rest before pitching. They are also 23-5 in Halladay's last 28 starts on Field Turf and he has been one of the best home favorites in baseball. There is even more value on this play because the Jays have won 6 of the last 7 games against the Sox when Halladay is pitching and he knows this lineup very well. I think the Jays are going to get just enough done in this game to seal the deal and take back the division lead in front of 35 000+ school kids who are going to attend this game and be damn loud. GO JAYS BABY!

Any thoughts on the O/U? I like the under.. I think Tavarez has a better outing then the one against the Rangers but not enough to win the game.. maybe 4-2 or 5-2 Blue Jays?

I'm on the under and thinking 4-2, 5-2 Jay's myself. Tavarez isn't that bad and actually pitches very well at times.

No thoughts on it today. I capped the game right on the number with no advantage on either side. If I had to pick one though it would be the UNDER. GL!
