christ. one day he's 8th. the next he's batting leadoff. then 2nd. now cleanup. i understand that he's versatile and ultra talented.

.... but how can the kid excel if he doesnt even know what his role is from day to day?

funny thing is, he'd be perfect in the 3-spot.
.... yet i think he's batted damn near everything but that so far.

theyre seemingly asking him to do 10 different things all at once. strange.

Yeah, looks like they dont trust him yet enough to be the real deal and take one of their golden boys out of the 3-spot.

If he turns out to be a bust, and he was just hot to start the year, some veteran will be pissed that the manager took him out of the 3-hole for some 1 month wonder hanging out in triple A.

I think it's getting safe to say now that Hamilton is the real deal and finally living up to his potential. He keeps hitting like this, he will be sitting 3-hole for a few years.

Dude is the real deal but he understands that he isn't a full time starter, just a guy who plays almost every day. Him and Freel have been saying they don't care where they hit or play.

This kid is going to be unreal, 1-1 again today so far with a run scored. HR last night... Kids numbers are unreal especially for someone who hasn't played in three years.

I think it is safe to say he is going to be one of the games best if he gets any better whats so ever.

They want to keep him from getting into a routine. They are afraid if he gets bored that he will hit the pipe again.

very similar to jim edmonds in his demeanor and style in the batter's box. has the bat resting on his shoulder but gets it through the zone in a hurry. his swing is smooth enough that he should be able to endure the adjustment period once pitchers get some notes on him. no reason to think he wont be a .290 or .300 all season.
