Record: 45-59
Profit: -16.07

Predicted Lines:

Florida -135, U8 -120
Baltimore -120, U8.5 -122
Detroit Pk, 9.5 Pk

Bets:

Washington Nationals +147
Washington/Florida Under 9 -120

Pitchers: Hill/Olsen

Both Hill and Olsen have looked very good this year and I expect both of them to put in excellent performances yet again. Washington can't hit at all and Florida has started to get into a slump. Somehow, I think a young guy who has been pitching well who they have never seen is the remedy. Florida may be without Miguel Cabrera which will only make this bet stronger. The Nats are a live dog at a good price in what should be a game where runs are hard to come by.

Baltimore/Toronto Under 9 -110
Pitchers: Cabrera/Burnett

Cabrera looks like he has finally got his control issues solves and if he does, he's as scary as any pitcher in the game. Toronto has slipped up a little bit with their bats lately and Baltimore is a pretty big park. Without Glaus in the lineup, I think this young hurler turns in a good one. Burnett is another guy that can be extremely dominant at times. His problems aren't with control, but with staying healthy. Right now he's healthy and the O's offense hasn't impressed me at all. Bullpens are a little scary but I like the starters to go at least 7 innings each.

Predicted Lines:

Boston -130, 9 Pk
Tampa Pk, U9.5 -115
Braves -112, U9 -112

Bets:

Boston Red Sox -110
Pitchers: Schilling/Pettite

This line seems off. Schilling is as home and even though the Yankees' lineup is loaded, he's had success against them the last few years. Pettite is going against a home team that can put up some runs and he has looked only so-so this year. He's been pitching to lesser offenses in the NL for the last few years and I think this might be a rude awakening for him. At home with the better starter, ya gotta like the Bo Sox at a cheap price.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays +170
2 Unit Play

Pitchers: Sabathia/Jackson

Edwin Jackson has been rocked twice this year but alot of that has to do with him going on the road against good offenses in hitters' parks. This one will be at home in a pitchers' park and Cleveland hasn't been hitting that well lately ever since Victor went down. Sabathia has looked very impressive so far this year but you have to remember that two of his starts were against the Chicago White Sox who can't hit lefties and always struggle against CeeCee. Tampa is hitting everything and anything and have shown that lefties don't cause them any problems. I think CC has a very average day and this game is a tossup. This might be the best value on a game you see all season long.

Well, Tampa blew the game in the 9th to lose me a ton of money. Washington lead the whole game and blew it in the 9th. Guess that's what I get for betting teams with iffy bullpens. I still think those are nice bets longterm.
