MLB for 04/20/2007

Blue Jays at Orioles
Prediction: Blue Jays
The Blue Jays send RHP A.J. Burnett up against the Orioles. Burnett is 6-3 in his last nine team starts in April. He's also never lost a team start against Baltimore. Look for Toronto to trip up the Birds here tonight. Take the Jays.

Scott Spreitzer

Diamondbacks at Giants
Prediction: Giants
I'm playing the Giants in the matchup between Arizona's Doug Davis and San Fran's Russ Ortiz. Davis has a career ERA approaching 5.00 against the Giants. He has had very little luck against Barry Bonds. The Giants left-fielder is 3-7 against Davis with a couple of doubles and a home run. Davis has walked the slugger four times. The Giants will counter with former D'back, Russ Ortiz. The hurler was at odds with the organization for much of 2005 and was finally given his release last June. But it seems as though he's found a home...for a second time in the Bay area. He snapped his personal losing streak last Friday and will be on the mound looking for personal revenge while leading a San Francisco team that has won five of seven. The Diamondbacks are talented, but young. I believe they're one season away from challenging for a championship. Meanwhile, they'll spend this year going through big-time swings. Right now, they're on a down-swing having dropped three of four. We'll back San Francisco on Friday night

Keeneland Friday

Heading back out to Keeneland today.

1st Play
DDouble R1 2, R2 2

Mike Battaglia Keeneland’s

Today's featured race is the $150,000 Royal Chase for the Sport of Kings
Friday, April 20, 2007
1ST
POSSETOTHEMAX makes his debut for Steve Asmussen, who has already won a couple of baby races this meet. Give him a slight edge today. LITTLE NICK has decent works and has a good post. He could be dangerous at decent odds. READY'S IMAGE is capable of winning but will have to overcome an outside post.

2nd
KINDLING drops in class and is proven on the Polytrack. Anything close to her best would make her a winner against this bunch. LIVELY CLASSIC is a six year old with just two career wins but she will be running at the end and Gomez picks up the mount. PIMENTINHA moves to the hot barn of Eddie Kenneally and has to be considered.

3rd
BELLAGAR was no match for a front-running winner last out at Turfway but should be in good position right off of the leaders today. Give her the slight edge in a well-matched claiming test. INDIAN FIRE exits the same race as the top pick. She ran poorly in that one but owns a win over the Keeneland strip and Bejarano picks up the mount. CLASSIC TIARA is a definite contender.

4th
FORMAL RUSH won her only start over the Keeneland Polytrack last meet. She will be running at the end in a race that should have a lively pace and looks best with Albarado in the irons. SUGAR BOOGER comes off of a narrow loss on the Gulfstream turf. If she handles the surface change, she will be tough to beat. PATRICIA drops in for a tag and is a definite contender at this level.

5th
SCARLET LOVE ran well on the artificial surface at Hollywood Park and has trained steadily for her Kentucky debut. Give her the edge with leading rider Julien Leparoux aboard. HIDDEN GROVE comes off of a couple of even efforts and looks like the one to catch. HONOUR MAID has a chance.

6th
LOUDERFASTERHARDER is still eligible for nonwinners of three but Foley drops him to a career low claiming level today. He has been training well at Churchill and could spring the upset in a tough race. MIDDLE EARTH hasn't won since being claimed in October but he also takes the class drop and looks dangerous. STORMIN BLEU and PROPHET JOHN are both contenders.

7th
EXTREME SUPREME was a beaten favorite in his last race at Churchill but hooks a fairly weak field for his 4 year old debut. He should win this one for Ward and Prado. HURRAH comes off of an even effort in New Orleans and figures second best. GIANT SHIFT had to need his last race and will improve.

8th
MR. GOODKAT just missed in the Hansel after a seven-month layoff. He figures to move forward off of that race and rates the slight edge over Demarcation in a close call. DEMARCATION was an impressive maiden winner at Fair Grounds. The second- and third-place finishers in that one came back to win next out and he is definitely the one to beat for McGee and Gomez. REVIVAL RIDGE fits with these.

9th
RACEY DREAMER hasn't raced since "94" but had a good tune up in a trial race earlier this month. He is undefeated in four races over the jumps and McCarron is aboard. Give him the edge. MIXED UP has been chasing champion McDynamo and is the one to beat. PREEMPTIVE STRIKE is a definite contender.

10th
YOU GO WEST GIRL ran second in her debut and should move forward off of that race. She appears to be in a good spot to get her maiden win. DAWN OF THE SUN is a first timer from the barn of Kenny McPeek, who won two races on Wednesday. CLASS QUEEN has a chance.

BRANDON LANG FRIDAY WRITEUPS GL FORUM

CUBS

I called the Cards win in the World Series last year was a fluke.Personally I feel they are one of the most overrated and overhyped teams in the big leagues this year and they haven't done much to prove me wrong. They opened this season being swept at home by the New York Mets in a three-game series and are now coming off consecutive two-game series sweeps by Pittsburgh and San Francisco.Their 6-9 start is the worst by a reigning World Series champion since the 1998 Florida Marlins opened 1-11.Again, a fluke because the Detroit Tigers couldn't field a stinking ground ball but dont' get me started on that. Now they go to Chicago 2-8 last year and has lost 13 of 18 meetings since the start of 2005.Branden Looper is 2-1 so far for the Cards while Ted Lilly is 1-2 for the Cubs while both have the exact ERA at 2.37 for the year.Bottom line is the Cards aren't hitting, the Cubs are at home and at this price, Lilly is the play.Play on the Cubs

BRAVES

While the Mets just beat up on the Marlins the last few days, they face a guy tonight who is on fire. Hudson is 2-0 this year with an era of 0.86. In has gone 7 innings in all 3 starts allowing 1 run in a no decision at Philly, shutout the Nationals and gave up 1 run to the Marlins.Like I said, he is on fire.Pelfrey comes off his start at home versus the Nationals allowing 2 earned in 5 2/3 innings in a no decison. This is a big early season series. The Braves come in at 10-5 while the Mets at 10-4.Considering how good Hudson has been early this year, I will back him at a pretty good price here and call for the Braves to draw first blood.Play on the Braves

RED SOX

Don't you just love it when these two get together? I know I do.The game one pitching matchup is absolutely fantastic. Pettitte vs Schilling.Pettitte is 13-5 with a 3.08 ERA in 21 career starts versus Boston, including 5-2 with a 3.17 ERA in nine starts at Fenway Park.Schilling is 7-5 with a 4.39 ERA in 14 career regular-season starts against the Yankees. He has won four of his last five decisions against them. However, after getting rocked in his first start of the year at Kansas City to the tune of 5 runs on 5 hits covering 8 innings, he has been outstanding since. He comes off 8 shutout innings at home to the Angels in an 8-0 win last Saturday pushing his scoreless streak to 14 consecutive innings. All things considered at this price, I will back the Red Sox to get game one tonight.

NATIONALS

After getting roughed up a little bit in his first start this year, Shawn Hill has pitched very well in his last 2.He faced these Marlins at home to start the year and allowed 4 earned in 5 innings of a 9-3 loss.He rebounded to go 6 2/3 innings at home to Arizona allowing just 2 earned in a 3-1 loss and then went into New York and beat the Mets 6-2 allowing just 2 earned in 7 innings.
Hey, if you can beat the Mets in New York your last start, I will glady take you in Florida against the struggling Marlins.Olsen may be 2-1 this year but his era is 6.92. His 2 wins were the benefit of the Marlins scoring 9 in his first win and 6 in the other. You have a hot pitcher at a great dog price and just like the Red Sox and the Astros yesterday, looking for another big 5 dime dog winner.Nationals are the play here.

BLUE JAYS

I am going to look for the Blue Jays to bust out and get the big win at Baltimore tonight.Cabrera is 4-5 with a 4.16 ERA in 11 starts against the Jays and even though he did beat the Jays his last start against them, he gets beat in this spot here.A.J. Burnett faces the Orioles for the first time in almost six years. He has started slowly this season, yielding four runs or more in two of his three starts going 1-1.Burnett did not receive a decision Saturday against Detroit after giving up four runs and seven hits over 5 1-3 innings. However, he won his only career start against the Orioles back on 2001 while he was with Florida.Toronto won 11 of 19 games against Baltimore last season and looking for them to add on that tonight.Blue Jays are the way to go.

TAMPA BAY

New flash everyone.C.C.Sabathia is not going to win every game he pitches this year. He comes into this game here at 3-0 with a 2.14 ERA and that is the first time he has ever opened the season 3-0 for his career. Well, I will force him to get to 4-0. My dollar says he doesn't.C.C is 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA in his 4 starts against Tampa Bay and that will go to 2-2 after today.I know Edwin Jackson has struggled all year at 0-2 and his ERA is over 8.31 after his last start at Minnesota allowing 5 runs in 3 innings, but I smell an upset here.
Just like the Astros and the Red sox yesterday, I feel a big dog barking here as well.Roll with the D'rays at home tonight.

Friday's Plays...

20 Dime –

WHITE SOX (With Danks and Durbin as listed pitchers)
Take the White Sox tonight over the Tigers.
The ChiSox are just getting on a roll. Starting with Mark Buehrle’s no-hitter Wednesday and last night’s impressive win, they come into this series with the Tigers full of confidence.
Detroit sends Chad Durbin to the mound and he has been shelled in his two games this year, allowing a whopping 17 hits and 12 earned runs in only 8 2-3 innings.
If Durbin hopes to shake out of his slump I’m sure he’d rather be facing any other team in the league besides the White Sox.
That’s because his lifetime numbers against the ChiSox aren’t much better than his statistics this season.
Durbin is 1-6 with a 10.66 ERA in nine games against Chicago, having given up 66 hits and 45 earned runs in only 38 innings.
The White Sox will send left-hander John Danks to the hill and he has shown good control so far, walking only three batters in 11 1-3 innings. The Tigers are a free-swinging team without much plate discipline, so Danks’ control should serve him well tonight.
Take the White Sox for the road win tonight at this near even price.

5 Dime Games–

BLUE JAYS (With Burnett as listed pitcher)
Take Toronto for the win at Camden Yards tonight.
A.J. Burnett gets the nod for the Blue Jays and this guy’s stuff is just too good for him to continue struggling the way he has through his first three starts.
Burnett has a dominating fastball and an excellent breaking ball to keep hitters off balance. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him pitch deep into the game tonight against a suspect Baltimore lineup.
Take the Blue Jays for the road win as Burnett gives Toronto the lift it needs after yesterday’s heartbreaking loss to the Red Sox.

A’s (With Blanton and McCarthy as listed pitchers)
Take the A’s tonight over the Rangers.
Not a bad price here as we’re not only getting the better pitcher in Joe Blanton, but the better overall team in the A’s as a slight underdog.
I know they’re on the road and Texas can be a real hitter’s paradise, but the Rangers bats haven’t exactly answered the bell to start the season and they’re going with a pitcher in Brandon McCarthy who has given up 21 hits and 13 runs in only 14 innings.
Take the A’s as they grab the road win over the Rangers.

PADRES (With Young and Fogg as listed pitchers)
Take the Padres for the road win over the Rockies.
This is a cheap price to pay for tonight’s pitching matchup.
Chris Young gets the nod for San Diego and he’s had good success against the Rockies in his career. Lifetime he’s 3-0 with a 2.97 ERA in five games against Colorado.
Josh Fogg goes for the Rockies and despite some decent numbers I don’t trust him here tonight. Fogg has a tendency to give up the long ball and pitching in Coors can humble a pitcher who gets the ball up and over the plate. Young definitely has a better track record and backing him is the right play here tonight.
Take the Padres for the win.

SCOTT SPREITZER COMP.
We'll back San Francisco on Friday night.

MARC LAWRENCE COMP

Blue Jays at Orioles
Prediction: Blue Jays
The Blue Jays send RHP A.J. Burnett up against the Orioles. Burnett is 6-3 in his last nine team starts in April. He's also never lost a team start against Baltimore. Look for Toronto to trip up the Birds here tonight. Take the Jays

Brian Gabrielle
Bonus Play: Proposition 1 Special vs Proposition 2 Special
At this week’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, take Daniel Chopra (40-1), 1/6 unit: He has to win some time. I just can’t see him being a DiMarco type of player---lots of cuts made, T25-ish finishes, lots of yearly money but little or no wins to show for it. I don’t see him that way because he’s much more talented than DiMarco and seems to be better in the temper department. Maybe his DQ last week for an illegal drop will have an inverse Mark Wilson effect and propel Chopra to his first victory. Take Sean O’Hair (20-1), 1/6 unit: After a rough start to the year in which he missed a lot of cuts, O’Hair has gone T14, T14 and 7 (last week) in his last three. He didn’t play the Zurich Classic last year, but finished T14 in 2005. Still young, still lot of potential, I just wonder about drive. Take Brent Snedeker (80-1), 1/6 unit: Snedeker’s making a living. He hasn’t slagged off since that 3 at the Buick Invitational, finishing out of T50 just once since. He’s coming off a T16 last week. As we saw at the Buick, it’s his poise more than anything else---he doesn’t think too much out there.

Friday's fantastic 2-0 card

500-Unit NL Big Hit - BRAVES (play only with Hudson as listed pitcher for Atlanta)

It's all about Tim Hudson in this one as the Braves hurler has been amazing this season. He is 2-0 with a 0.86 ERA in three starts this season.

He's given up two runs on 11 hits in 21 innings and the only time he went on the road he shut down the Phillies, holding them to two hits through seven innings in a 3-2 victory.

Last year against the Mets he went in there in April and thre a complete-game victory at them, giving up just one run on three hits in a 2-1 victory. This guy can absolutely pitch and should be able to contain the Mets' offense that has been on fire of late.

The Braves are 6-2 in Hudson's eight starts against the Mets and they have already met in a three-game set this season and taken two of three from New York. In Shea Stadium, Hudson is 3-1 with a 3.62 ERA in four career starts. So the lights of the Big Apple don't bother him.

The Braves will feast on rookie starter Mike Pelfrey who is making just his sixth career start. Look for a strong performance from Hudson and if the Braves can get him four runs this one should be no problem. Play Atlanta.

200-Unit AL Rivalry Release - RED SOX (play only with Schilling as listed pitcher for Boston)

This rivalry gets going today with a strong pitching matchup between Curt Schilling and Andy Pettitte.

Schilling struggled on Opening Day but has been rock solid since giving up just one run on eight hits in 15 innings against the Rangers and Angels. At Fenway Park, the Red Sox really support Schilling as the team is 31-10 in his last 41 starts in front of the home fans.

Pettitte hasn't faced Boston in three seasons since he jumped ship to the National League's Astros. But now he's back in New York and pitching well for the Yankees. He has allowed just two runs on 10 hits in 13 innings in his last two starts, at Minnesota and Oakland.

Last time he faced the Red Sox he got rocked hard in a 2003 playoff game as Boston won 9-6, but he has had success against the Red Sox, leading the Yankees to a 12-4 mark the last 16 times he's started.

We're playing Schilling and the Sox in this one as you know he'll be pumped up to face Alex Rodriguez who is leading the majors with 10 homers and 25 RBIs. Schilling and Rodriguez have a little history together and you know Schilling will have a little something extra for him.

Play Boston as the home crowd is going to be electric for the first one in this heated series this season.

Chris Jordan

3-0 Sweep ...

500? YANKEES (LIST Pettitte and Schilling) - The Yankees may not have won the last time Andy Pettitte took the mound, but he put in a solid performance against Oakland on Sunday, when he threw seven innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits.

He's increased his innings from four against Tampa, to six at Minnesota and seven at Oakland. That says something when you're headed to hitters' ball parks, and your durability says something for you. Pettitte has allowed just one earned run in his first two starts, and I am banking on him to start this rivalry series with a steady form that includes a four-seam fastball that ranges between 90 and 94 miles per hour. And as long as he maintains good command of his pitches, the BoSox will be kept off-balance with his off-speed stuff countering the heat.

I'd be remiss if I didn't address our opponent, Curt Schilling, who may be 2-0 in his last two starts – at Texas and at home against the Halos – but I am still not that impressed. Not when he opened the season by allowing five earned runs in four innings to Kansas City.

And not when the Angels were on a cross-country trip and seemingly tired after a three-game set in Cleveland and the opening-game rout in Boston. Of course that team was not going to be able to hit Schilling … that was pure home-field advantage.

If you watched yesterday's game against Cleveland, you know the Bombers are simply toying with teams untill they're ready to strike. They manufactured the ninth-inning runs with no outs like it was nothing; and can we ignore A-Rod's heroics?

Schilling may have returned to form after that dismal start against Kansas City, but he'll struggle with this lineup. I am rolling with Pettitte, who is 13-5 lifetime, with a 3.05 ERA, against the Red Sox.

100? BRAVES (LIST Hudson and Pelfrey) - Going to bank on Tim Hudson tonight, as he's been solid in his first three starts this year. Consistently, he's tossed at least seven frames against Philadelphia, Washington and Florida, and has given up just two earned runs. His ERA is 0.86 this season, and that's consideration enough for me to roll with the NL Tribe in this one. Hudson has seen success against the Mets, especially two seasons back, when he was 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA over 28 innings of work. His efforts slipped a tad last season, when he was 2-2 against New York, and sported a 5.67 ERA. But he looks more like the pitcher from 2005 right now.

100? OVER Twins/Royals (WITH Ponson and Perez) - Both pitchers – Sidney Ponson and Odalis Perez – have been awful to start the season. While the Twins' upper brass signed Ponson to eat innings, they certainly didn't think he'd be producing an 8.18 ERA. Ponson is 4-3 against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium, with a rather high 5.13 ERA. Meanwhile, we also can count on Perez getting hit hard, as he's still in search of his first win of the season, and it's a long shot that it happens in this one, as he's fared rather miserably against Minnesota. Perez is 0-1 in three career appearances against the Twins, along with a 7.63 ERA. Perez is off to rough start, at 0-2 with a 9.26 ERA this year. Look for a high-scoring affair.

2000? PADRES w/YOUNG over Rockies w/Fogg

Righty pitcher Chris Young for San Diego has a perfect 3-0 record and a 2.97 ERA in his career vs. Colorado. The Padres have proven to be a tough team for the Rockies, who lost five of the last six times they played San Diego. The Rockies were losers last year against right-handers, and are not doing well against them so far this season. Compare this to the fact that the Padres have been profitable on the road vs. righties, and the play is clearly on San Diego.

2000? ATHLETICS w/BLANTON over Rangers w/McCarthy

These two teams are running in opposite directions. The A’s have won four of their last five games while the Rangers have lost four of their last five. The pitching match-up in this one favors Oakland with Joe Blanton on the mound. He has a winning career record vs. Texas, and has a much better ERA than his opponent so far this season. On the mound for the Rangers is Brandon McCarthy, who has given up 21 hits in only 14 innings pitched this year. He will be looking for a win at home today but the A’s aren’t going to let that happen.``

Friday's Action

2,000,000? New York Mets W/ Pelfrey

The Mets are coming off a 3 game road trip in which they scored 28 runs. Now, I know Hudson has been very good to start the year but to get the Mets as a home dog is great, especially with how hot their lineup has been.

Pelfrey is a good young pitcher and even though the Braves did take 2 of 3 from the Mets in Atlanta, I think the Mets are a better team.

Pelfrey won't have to be great tonight just good and I feel he will be that.

I love the Mets in this spot tonight. Go with them.

500,000? Boston Red Sox W/ Schilling

It's always interesting when these two teams meet up in Fenway Park and tonight should be no expection as it looks like a great pitching match-up on paper. However, I don't expect it to unfold that way.

The Red Sox have murdered left handed pitching at home and the Yanks have struggled against righties on the road.

Tonight they face a guy who almost always shuts them down. The Red Sox will get game 1 of this series at home tonight

Take a good look at anything that Power Play of the Day, Big Al, M. Cannon (his 15* and 20* plays), Larry Ness and B. Coleman are playing. These guys have been red hot as of late and have also showed consistency since the beginning of the season.

Conversely, consider any of Larry Ness’s “FREE” plays as a great opportunity for a FADE. Other good fade options are the MTI, the Stu Feiner 200* plays and Gator.

BIG AL'S WRITE-UP

At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Angels over Seattle. The Angels have lost six straight games, but should get slugger Vladimir Guerrero (.365 avg, 4 HR) back in the lineup tonight. And the Angels' sluggers destroy Seattle starter Miguel Batista. Garret Anderson is a lifetime .333 hitter, Guerrero has a .462 average, Orlando Cabrera bats .421, and Shea Hillenbrand bats .667. Batista is not off to a good start this season, as his ERA is 8.74. Not surprisingly, his career ERA vs. the Angels is 6.17. Batista's mound opponent will be lefty Joe Saunders, and he has a 2.92 ERA on the year, and a career mark of 8-3 in 17 lifetime starts. Take the Angels. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. And don't miss my NBA Winners this weekend, including my NBA Sucker Bet of the Year. They're available right now.

MLB New York (A) vs. Boston

Take Boston Red Sox

Play on the Red Sox at 7:05 ET. Boston will surely remember the Yankees sweeping a five-game series in their last visit to Fenway (August of 2006), as it basically ended any hopes the Red Sox had of competing for the division title. Boston was never the same after that series but the team has its pitching rotation set and just may be able to "return the favor" this weekend. I expect the Red Sox to come out and win this opening game, as Curt Schilling takes the mound. He's beaten the Yankees in four of his last five regular season starts and enters with a current 14-inning scoreless streak intact in 2007. Note that the Red Sox have gone 31-11 in Schilling's home starts since he joined the team back in 2004 and he's surely the guy Boston wants on the mound in this opening game.

Go with the Red Sox.

Gator's 70% Situations

NBA (Friday) regular season has concluded (Playoff Report coming)

MLB (Friday) Play Under MLB road teams when the total is 8.5 to 10 with a (AL) team batting average of <=.265 facing a team with a bullpen ERA of <=3.75 with a starting pitcher who gives up less than 1.75 bases on balls per start.
(55-21 last 5 seasons.) (72.4%) PLAY: Oakland / Texas UNDER 10 (-110)

THE WUNDERDOG
Game: Toronto at Baltimore (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: Baltimore -126

A.J. Burnett is really struggling with location and has not looked even close to pitching ready for the Blue Jays. He has walked eight hitters in just 14 innings and his ERA is a staggering 7.17. He has never been a good road pitcher as his ERA on the road has been over a run per game higher. The Jays bullpen is hurting and with Burnett struggling with his command only spells trouble for the Jays here. It's no secret that Daniel Cabrera has plus stuff and the only issue he has had is command. He seems to have sorted that out and he has carried a very productive spring into the regular season. Cabrera has walked just one batter in his last 13 innings of work and looks in every way like he has finally mastered the strike zone. This is a short price to pay in this match-up with the O's at home.

VEGAS EXPERTS
Philadelphia Phillies at Cincinnati Reds
Friday, April 20th, 7:10 PM EDT

Even with yesterday's win in Washington the Phils are just 4-10 on the year including 3-5 away. Lieber makes his first start of the year vs. Kyle Lohse who threw eight shutout innings at Chicago in his last, lowering his ERA to 2.53. PHILADELPHIA is 6-13 against the money line with a rested bullpen that pitched one inning or less last game over the last 2 seasons and 14-24 against the money line in April games over the last 2 seasons. CINCINNATI is 20-8 against the money line when playing on Friday over the last 2 seasons and 75-59 against the money line after allowing 7 runs or more 2 straight games since 1997.

LARRY NESS 20* WRITE UP
Larry Ness' 20* AL Game of the Month (just 3rd TY / already 2-0!)

My 20* play is on the Bos Red Sox at 7:05 ET. The last time the Yanks visited Fenway, they swept the Red Sox in a five-game series (Aug 18-21 of 2006), basically ending Boston's season last year. The teams meet for the first time in 2007 tonight, in the opening game of a three-game series. The Yanks are being carried by A-Rod, who has a ML-leading 10 HRs and 26 RBI, plus a 19-game hitting streak going back to last year. However, despite a near-$200 million payroll, the Yanks have very little pitching. That could be their demise this series. Pettitte may be the best New York has right now and after a poor start to open '07, pitched well at Min and Oak (13 IP / 10 hits / 1 ER). He's back with the Yanks after a two-year stint in Houston but I'm not convinced he's the same pitcher he was from 1995-2003, when he went 149-78 (3.94) in 283 regular season starts for NY? Schilling goes for Boston and after a terrible start to open '07 (at home vs KC no less!), he's looked like the 'old' Schilling. He allowed four hits and one ER in seven innings at Texas and then last Saturday in Fenway, went eight innings while allowing only four hits and zero runs. He enters this game on a 14-inning scoreless streak. I don't see any reason why this game is priced at around "pick'em" when one considers that since Schilling came to the Red Sox in 2004, Boston is 31-11 in his Fenway starts. AL Game of the Month 20* Bos Red Sox.
