Dude the front 5 of this lineup could be a wake up call for Looper. Everyone batting over .300 except for DeRosa yet he's tied for the team lead in RBIs, could be explosive this afternoon.

Floyd just missed that one into the wind...I agree with you...Looper is Looper...he used to have a hard time throwing one inning...he is due for a pounding.

Exactly.. you can't expect someone who pitched a total of 80 innings max last season come into the starting lineup and keep this pitching going. The funny part is he would come in for 1 inning max and still had an ERA of close to 4. If you can't consistently come in and get batters out while only throwin like 20 pitches max then you won't make a good SP. He def won't last all season like this. Hopefully today will be the start to it, lol.

Note HP Umpire Larry Young is calling a small strike zone both on Lilly and Looper. Hitters advantage.

I think Looper has solid stuff, and pitched well against Chicago last year in relief. But I totally agree about how difficult it is to make the reliever to starter transition. Can't imagine it doesn't affect him at some points this season.

What the heck was DeRosa doing? Pujols missed the tag...he never touched the bag...ugghh.

Guess he was called out because he ran to 2nd...Hernandez apparently did not know he missed the bag...that was a strange play.
