I almost turned this game off when it was 6-2. Red Sox are now winning 7-6 thanks to this turd Rivera.

I am still covering this game by .a half point, but I need the game to just end... I never get the easy wins!!

Mariano Rivera worked a perfect ninth to complete the three-hitter and earn his 34th save.

Same story..

Reason I edit the title of these bumped thread with the "Little Old White Bearded Man" icon. I never change the actual titles.

</td></tr> </tbody></table>
A real classic bumped for no reason we have here NOT, it's is plain and simple just OLD useless information...Which is why you see the "Little Old White Bearded Man" icon to warn you the thread is over a year old and in many case up 8 years old..

Please do not be confused by the early posts in these "Old Man" Icon threads as the information is often way outdated and in some cases about players playing for different teams or just bumped to embarrass a poster who may have predicted a great or poor future for a team or player only to see the opposite happen years later. Whats classic about them is they are perfect examples of 20-20 hindsight.

Seldom do you see a thread bumped after a poster makes an accurate prediction (unless the thread was started by the poster doing the bumping) that turned out extremely accurate years later..

Trust me, having to run these down every morning at 5AM my time is no picnic..

Thanks, wilheim

Aaron Laffey(notes) (2-1) got two outs for his first win since the Yankees claimed him off waivers from Seattle on Aug. 19. Mariano Rivera(notes) gave up Ryan Adams’(notes) two-out RBI single in the ninth, then hit Nolan Reimold(notes) with a pitch and allowed a double steal before striking out J.J. Hardy(notes) for his 38th save in 43 chances. Rivera boosted his career saves total to 597, four shy of Trevor Hoffman’s record.
