For those who never were around back in the day here's how it works...

All the vowels are listed.

First one is a very famous college football player who is now over 50 years old.

Good job. Nebraska is my favorite team and I did not quickly get this. He was a great RB in college....

funny you say that .. i had a long debate with a buddy .

i always thought he was a wide out .

he only had like 40 carries his last year .. not that many for a running back.

He also knocked off a gas station at about 25th & Holdrege and got busted for it. Right in the middle of the student housing\ghetto.

That was slightly before my time. I am mid 70's on as far as watching them all. This was what 71? He was a great open field runner that could cut on a dime...sort of like Gale Sayers. My earliest memories wereof Archie Griffin at Ohio State. He was a great one that was not an NFL runner but still a great college player. Nebraska, was alway my favorite from David Humm, Vince Ferragamo, Tony Davis all from the gold old days.

in your heart, you know i'm right

He was a RB, but he was a versatlie player who was also a receiver and a great return man, actually Sayers was a good comparison, atleast at the college level...his pro career was tarnished because he ended up going up to Canada, they actually outbid the NFL for him (Montreal)

By the time he came back to the NFL he was injured and never played but a few games.
