Lets see. You've got Cleveland's Paul Byrd who hasn't allowed a run this season going against Jay Seo whose ERA is above 7.00. Can you say mismatch? Nobody has been able to score off Byrd this season who has officially made only one start in 2007, a 4-0 victory over the White Sox last Saturday. He also started at home against Seattle on April 6. In that game, Byrd held a 4-0 lead and had not allowed a hit when the game was called due to snow in the top of the fifth inning - one out away from being official. Seo meanwhile is 0-1 with a 4.76 ERA in three starts against the Indians and he's failed to pitch beyond the fifth inning in any of those outings. Pitching continues to be a problem for the D-Rays, whose 6.09 staff ERA is the highest in the majors. Cleveland has beaten Tampa Bay seven straight times. Number eight comes today!

He only pitched 6 scoreless inning. If he's anything like last year's Byrd he'll blow up and never deserve a line like this.

The reality is that (if you had really read what Ace wrote) that he has pitched over 10 innings of shutout ball so far this year.

I did read it. But the game was canceled. Whether 6 or 10 scoreless inning's isn't that impressive. Paul Byrd has always been a bum. I would never lay that kind of juice on him, but Ace will so good luck to him.
