The kid has one of the best eyes I've ever seen for a young hitter; he's a walk machine. And he hits LIGHTS-OUT against lefties, which is such an asset for a LH hitter. He's been the best hitter on a (usually) really good-hitting team the past week or two.
Putting that with the fact that he can field 3-4 positions very well, he has the potential to be a great player.

Langerhans isn't really a PH...he's been platooning at Left with Matt Diaz as Langerhans is an excellent fielder but obviously hasn't hit for shit this year. He's always been a .250 kinda guy with little power but he's always made up for it with defense...seriously one of the better fielding left-fielders out there.
Obviously if he's batting .080 or whatever it is now, his fielding isn't making up for it which is why you see Diaz playing most of the time now. Not sure why they have him pinch-hitting until he gets his swing back; part of the reason I think is that Cox was ejected several innings before so you have the bench coach making decisions. I think if Cox were still in the game you'd have seen Woodward batting in that 8th.
