It does not get any better than this for some of us. After winning the first two this weekend...everyone in New England is holding a broom! Go Sox! Sox got the pitching edge tonight so hopefully form will hold. Ortiz is getting warm! It does not get better than this in watching out national pastime in primetime tonight.

Could be better.....

Not really vs. the Yankees as Boston lineup is healthy and ace on the mound...

Where as the Yankees have Posada and Matsui out and starting somebody they promoted from AA and a catcher behind the plate who hasn't had a big league hit in years.

Really not a good situation for Boston...if they lose it will be the last game and sour taste in the mouth when they clearly had the advantage, especially with Dice on the mound losing would be even more dissapointing.

If they win, they were suppose to.

Dice is nice, but nowhere near the "Ace"

pitching edge toinght? they had it the whole series. With that starting pitching against who the Yankees have pushed out there you all probably should have almost expected a sweep.

at the very least i guess this opening series will add some more fuel to the fire this season. Luckily for both teams Toronto has started out like dogshit.

Everybodys talking about this Boston pitching and the rotation...

Even more so this series has exposed despite winning two games Bostons flaws....Neither Schilling or Beckett had a good game...

What's up with the fans @ Fenway giving Beckett a roaring standing ovation. I know he settled down but jesus christ, like 5 runs and 9 hits in 6 innings.

Please, enlighten me then to Bostons mysterious ace. These kind of posts are stupid, when you don't even name one or give an argument.

Signing the 2006 World Baseball Classic MVP for millions and millions of dollars and hype, Dice sure as hell better be the ace and is expected to pitch like one.

He gave up 4 after two and then finished strong. He did a good job against a very good lineup in a great hitters ballpark. Boston is well known for being very smart fans (and tough too sometimes of course)....he deserved an ovation.

Yanks have been getting hammerd all day long. I have Yanks +180 1st 5 innings. There was a ton of value on the Yanks early in day.

A good lineup...if you consider Nieves Cabrera and Thompson 1/3 of your lineup good then I can't even argue with you.

First two innings alone with the sun putting shadows on the ball and giving up that parade should have been boos by itself not a standing ovation.

Talk about low expectations - well I guess anything is better than last year.

he's pitched pretty good to be 1-2 .. no run support.

that line also is taking into account the sox should pound wright .

Exactly. Dice K has pitched very well. His ERA is low. Let the guy settle in and he will be just fine. He is a very good pitcher. The only question is how good.
