Freightdog is going for 100k at wagerline, and he's selected under 8.5 in the oakland/baltimore game. That takes balls to decide the last one on a total, as I would never imagine myself to do that in his position.

Haren has been really solid this season, with his worst outing being against the Yankees for 3 earned runs. Baltimore has been red hot offensively so something will give in this one.

Bedard has been shaky so far, with only his best outing against the Royals. The staff ace is facing an Athletics team that has a shaky offense despite that 16 run game.

I would call it a shaky pick for #21, but I'm guessing he bought into Haren's great start and Bedard's potential to blank out the Oakland lineup.

Good Luck to him and would love to hear your thoughts.

You can pick on faves from -130 or lower. The available totals are only linked to those games.

Spread-wise, every game is available.

Who cares if he hedged it properly? Did he guarentee himself $50,000 or go stupid style?

You also have to factor in the taxes that'll be applied to this prize. I would find it pretty hard to hedge a 75k prize but I guess he could do it. With what's going on offshore and the bodog stalls on echeck, I wouldn't feel confident on getting that prize any time soon.

Only problem is the logistics of hedging $50k. Either you have to have a few ultra-solid locals, or have the cash to front to an offshore. Enjoy collecting either way.

If he split it up a little over $15,000 in BM, JM, and GREEK...I don't see it being a problem..

I guess I could understand the money part, but it's not like he had to scrape it up fast, I didn't see a timelimit on the 21st pick. Call family and friends..

Well the under 8.5 is at -115 so he has the odds in his favor on this play. Despite what he says, I would guess that he is hedging and he can get the over at +105.

He's the one on a 20 win streak, but Bedard scares the shit out of me.

No way I'd be on this if I was in his shoes. Hate the play, hope he found ways to hedge himself out.

Your average punter doesn't have 50 dimes laying around to hedge out his bet properly

bm, the greek and jm...the only place out of the 3 thats taking 15 dimes on a total is the greek....no chance at jm or bm...ive spoken to the cigar at bm and he said he would rather close than take baseball if that were an option...

The way the results are going at the moment a Total is his best option. moneylines are just holding their own but The Books are being battered by Totals and can only hang on till the tide turns, this weekend was the worst this season. :drink:

He picked Arizona -2 against Oregon. Oregon went off to 31-3 halftime lead and won like 48-10 or something like that. It was brutal

Normally I'd cheer for the guy to win, but the prize being won so early in the year would be a bummer. The next guy would only have a chance at 10k and it'd probably be 4-5k once taxes are said and done. So, I hope Haren and Bedard get shelled.

The other guy chose the Sun Devils against the Ducks in NCAAFB. AZ State were playing real shitty football and he bought into the hype of them still being favored over a hot Ducks team. I think it was around the time that Oklahoma got screwed and Az. State was the next opponent.
