I love The Sabres, but I have to take The Rangers at this price. I truly believe this series is a toss up.

Since the openers came out at the greek, money has been coming in on the NYR......

Less than one month ago the Rangers were available at 75/1.

Boy that selection holds water after selecting any 8 seed to beat Buffalo and then backing it up by backing the NYI.

sorry guys, this could very well be because im a sabre fan, but they wont lose, they will win the cup this year, with sloppy play they beat the isles in 5, they will need just as many games to beat the rangers, if not 4! how can u bet against the fastest team in the game?

Harry,
I have to disagree because I feel that the correct play is no play.

Despite the Sabres not being on top of their game, the Rangers are no better than the Islanders. I think Gaustaud coming back could have a bigger influence than people realise - he's #2 on drawns after Drury, he adds much needed size and tenacity and he's an effective 2nd line down low guy on the PP unit.

Rangers ar eplaying well but Buffalo is the better team. Sabres in 6. ottawa is the team to beat in the east imo. Would love to see another Buffalo-Ottawa series

Park,
Islanders : 40-30-12
Rangers : 42-30-10

They were a shootout different. Islanders actually outscored the Rangers, but Rangers were superior defensively (although DiPietro was hurt).

Maybe Jagr will turn back the playoff clock. He has the talent to dominate games at a time, but he's doesn't have 2% the heart of a Drury, Pronger or Smyth.

I can expect a computer to argue this matter with those records as strong evidence but I can't believe you really believe right now those records hold any weight. Rangers have been playing the best hockey in the league the past month or so, the team is alot better then they were in the first half of the season.

Even if you want to look at the season standing the Rangers were much better with a plus +26 goal differential compared to the Islanders +8.

Park,
Islanders came from 10th in the last week with 4 straight wins (including 1 over the Rangers) to steal the last playoff spot with their backup goalie. I believe they'd have done much better with out DiPietro's injuries.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I concede the Rangers are more talented though.

GL sir.
