After an 0-4 stretch I've dropped below .500. Remember today. It will be the only time this season I have a losing record. Onward and upward.

Rockies Writeup

Beating the Mets at home seems to be a daunting task of late, but Aaron Cook has been extremely effective so far. There's nothing particularly fascinating about todays matchup talent-wise; the Mets are a stronger offensive team than the Rockies, and the pitching matchup is just about even. So the Mets should win this one every time, right? Well, not in my estimation.

Tonight represents a letdown spot for the Mets after pummeling Taylor Buchholz last night. They're playing a sorry-ass team with a sorry-ass pitcher on the mound, so why put maximum effort into winning this game? It should be as easy as last night, right?

Pirates Writeup

Paul Maholm has been quite an interesting pitcher over his 1-year tenure in Major League Baseball. He sports a career home ERA of 3.59 with a career away ERA of 6.14. In 2007, he has continued this pattern, sporting a 3.60 ERA at home with a 6.19 ERA overall. I guess he just loves Pittsburgh.

Rockies play seems solid. I may end up on the ML myself. Have to disagree with you on Pittsburgh, but am very close to playing the Cubs myself, especially after reading your writeup. BOL. No doubt you'll be back up over .500 tomorrow morning.
